For those of us running capped bots, Prisma’s were often simply a brief lethal touch before death. Of course, that does describe a lot of things…

I would have understood it a couple months ago, but with the Reaper and 800 meter lasers out and about now, I think they are just using Prisma as a scapegoat to satisfy annoyed players. Some people have hated Prisma since day one, and 800 meter laser users hate it because it can out-range them. It is just the usual P.R. move that falls apart under and scrutiny. I do agree that Prisma does not need a nerf. It has no special features besides high damage, and its mechanics limit it to large maps. I guess Pixonic it was a bit too good for a workshop weapon… But they're buffing Flux. That doesn’t really change my point that Pixonic thought Prisma was too good for a budget weapon though. Pixonic operates essentially only on statistics, and in my opinion at least, does care to an extent (besides the hacking epidemic, of course) about game balance in the middle leagues. This explains the recent Trident and Vortex buff, weapons like the Dragoon and Gauss families being singled out for larger buffs than the rest of their tier in the 8.7 rebalance, and of course, the Flux buff. Prisma was getting too much use for Pixonic’s liking, and Flux was basically extinct, so corrective action was taken. I personally think these changes are not actually directly connected in any meaningful manner.

My favorite melter has been nerfed, I wanted to see how others think of it, im sure lots of you are happy about it, what can I do to move on if they suck too much? Just upgraded 4 to Mk2/6. I'm gutted but still going to grade them to Mk2/12. any update on how they perform now would be nice. I’ll make sure to keep everyone informed

I agree with all of this, this is clearly an out for a systematic manner of weapon “balancing” based on use, those buffed weapons will stay strong for then but after that what? It’s a shame that esssentially any setup (besides og ones) get targeted in some way by pix ridiculous hammer

Hellz yeah nurf them long range suckers. What a cowardly way to play. Snippers can back up against the canyon wall where nobody can get behind you and there is only an open field with nothing for an aggressor to hide behind trying to attack the snipers. Many times I just leave my bot behind a wall and let the time run out and not give those snipers anything to shoot at. Ok I only say that because I have no 1100 range weapons. Now give my sonic scorpion a 1100 meter teleport distance and you snippers can keep the prismas as is. Deal?

I hate gutless sonic scorpions far, far more than any sniper weapon.

Prisma? Seriously? No, no nerf needed unless you only run on Springfield or maybe Canyon. Now REAPER on the other hand needs a NERF, tyvm. Yes indeed Oliver Kloesov, they say they buffin the Flux though.

Oof, this is a really bad nerf. Basically 4 prismas would be like 3 prismas of today.

Finally those godforsaken weapons get what they deserve. Now we just need the 800m lasers and the Reaper to follow, the latter will probably not be for a while.

Quote from movie The professional….
“The rifle is the first weapon you learn how to use because it lets you keep your distance from the client. The closer you get to being a pro, the closer you can get to the client. The knife, for example, is the last thing you learn.”

The closer you get to being a pro, the closer you can get to the client. The knife, for example, is the last thing you learn.” Ah yes, because this sci-fi robot game is comparable to human assassins. Going by that logic though, if we look at the progression system in War Robots, the first weapons you unlock are the close range ones (Punisher and Thunder), followed by medium range (Molot and Spiral), and the long range (Nashorn, Kang Dae) are unlocked last. Thus, the long range weapons require the most skill!
