The few times I have faced Jaws, they have been devastating. But, that has been a rare occurrence. It seems in Expert, bendies are still boss Hogg, along with Incinerator Harpy and shotgun Mars. Same with those Spears.
Question is: Usually when Pix gives things away like candy on Halloween, that means it’s being phased out.
So, is it worth it to set up, say a Ravana with Jaws-family weapons, or an Orochi, or ramp up the Spears and replace the Magnetars on my Khepri?

Personally, I don't like Spears. I can't speak to whether it's worthwhile to use them. I have them mounted to a Loki I rarely use just as a different wrinkle than Sonics and Shredders I normally use.
As for Jaws, I just leveled my first from that family to mount to an Invader. If that was a bad idea, I'll be keeping you company regretting that poor decision!

Jaws are still worth it imo, but they might get a nerf soon based on how much Pixonic are giving them out and what we've seen in the past.
Spears are only good if you use the Otto Schreyer pilot, and some robot that lets you boost damage. Only thing I'd run them on these days is the Khepri.

Based on who regularly kills me: - Spikey Things: Have yet to be killed by one... at least that I noticed. 150M range. Meh.
- Jaws/ Claw/ Talon: Regularly killed by these. Especially Nether and Angler. Full respect with 350M range.
I've won a few of both types of weapons and have no plans to use them.

I've won a few of both types of weapons and have no plans to use them.
Spikey things range is annoying. I'm running the angler with them and it's really effective. Wouldn't run them on anything else though. |

Maybe Nether, but I really don't like that robot. I'd also try it on Strider. Unfortunately, I don't have any Stabbies.

I should retry it on the scorpion, I did before but it was when the game kept crashing because of the weapons and it worked well. Skyros was underwhelming, and so was Nether. My Loki gets wiped out by Seraphs and Anglers whenever I run it so that's a no go. Am tempted to try Khepri, but I'll see. |

Loki is a bit of feast or famine. No solution to the Seraphs shooting through walls, still. Certain maps you can evade Anglers pretty well, although, it's improved since their nerf.
I'd think Nether would be better than Khepri simply due to it being more elusive.

The thing with the Nether is the forcefield. I can barely touch other Nethers but my forcefield seems to disappear almost instantly. I still have no clue how it works. |

Imo, I would explore their use unleveled in custom or even live match (or in test server) to determine (if this even matters to you like it does me) whether or not you even enjoy the firing mechanics and visual/audio fx. I always found this to give a clear answer pretty quickly. If my answer was ‘I dont like this 「dookie」’, either I would sell all these weapons and components; or I would know for sure not to invest any money or resources to acquire or upgrade them. I was never one to keep 「dookie」 because ‘its good or may become good someday’; if I didnt like it or it never got used or have a future designation, it got sold, because I dont like scrolling through tons of unused 「dookie」 to find my active gear; dont like having a stupid museum; and every little bit of Ag helps with upgrading what I love to use. It never mattered if it was good, if I didnt like it, I didnt get it or it got sold.
And I agree with others here on Spear range, if you dont plan to pilot a hit n run, those are a no go.

Maybe I’m an outlier, but I just ran the ardent spear and viper combo with the cruel angler and quite enjoyed it; nabbed a few kills, too. The pew pew graphics with the viper and spears are visually appealing to me. I especially love the plasma donuts from the viper.
