Gintare’s Palace Event Roundup (+ What $12 got me)

As I said I would in a previous thread, I committed to this week’s event in a couple ways and my hunch that this event was way better than the previous ones was proven right. Though as always, Pixonic does seem to be trying to pull a fast one in some aspects. So here is the run down for anyone considering spending/grinding in the event’s waning hours.
I took a screenshot of my free prizes before I dropped my $12, so here was my haul from grinding alone (the top two prizes were from the free spins at the very beginning of the event):
Immune Amplifier
Crisis
Grand Balanced Reactor
Markus (Angler Pilot)
Since I felt confident/daring and had literally none of the prizes in the pool, I ended up dropping $12 for 4 spins of the silver chest, winning these prizes:
Captain Clyde (Mars Pilot)
Mao Ling (Imugi Pilot)
Imugi (regular edition)
Gold Token -> 2500 Frozen Scorn Components
So not a bad haul at all looking at it. Crisis and Imugi are the obvious highlights, and more modules is always good, but even the pilots are fine. I like collecting pilots as “baseball cards”, and it means I will not have to hunt them down when I get their bot. The Frozen Scorn components are the only dud I would say, which is not surprising for the scammy bingo board. It is funny that the paid haul was worse than the free haul, but Imugi makes it much worth it.
The real kick in the pants is that I physically cannot complete the operation without spending. I watched the ads and did the tasks, and am still 4 OXP short of the final prize. I am definitely not spending $25 when the operation seems to have worse value than other offers, so that was quite disappointing.
In conclusion, this event is unsurprisingly flawed, but still a massive improvement over the past couple of years’ ones. It also seems the odds are quite good, with me getting decent prizes even after playing into Pixonic’s hand, so to say. Hopefully this event is not a one-off thing, and that Pixonic fixes the operation!
