Good, painful lesson.
I agree, unfortunately. Gone are the days where you could do some serious grinding in an event and end up with an actual useful item.
That said, there are still a few that are doable. I grinded (ground?) Event E and bought the pack to get the Sirius. I don’t know I really want it, but I know I STILL don’t have an Aether and just recently got a Murometz and a Ming. I’ve also gotten some decent stuff from the Leaderboards when there are reachable thresholds that don’t require carpal tunnel collapse as well as $50 to buy. Got a few Beta Bubblers that way.
The Special Delivery crates are largely trash, though. And getting worse by the month.

The only thing I got out of this entire event was an Armadillo drone that I don't even have enough chips to get to Level 2. I sold all the components, because I hate components.

its just a simple easy money grab by Pix... just ignore it and play your game.. get any freebies, enjoy and let it go.. Pix will not do anything to fix or make customers happy. just take the money and run.

I invested a bit to get some new gear, having stepped away for about a year.
Waiting for a big upgrade sale to do some mods…then work on thee new stuff.
Or get a bot with some Harpoon weaapons rocking, then working on the other stuff.

Events have gone to 「dookie」 since the last Evolife Bloom one. I opened an absolute stack of coins I've saved from the operation and got 1 Aether, which oh what a surprise, just got nerfed.

The only "good" thing about the free event coins is using them to get more free stuff in the other useless leaderboard "events".
This time I hoarded my coins to get a high position for opening chests, used my hoard just as the leaderboard went live and checked my position in the table.
Within 2 minutes of it going live there were 3 players with over 20,000 points LoL!

How is that served with events?
They give you a few token shards to egg you on into buying more.

i remember somehow pulling a cryptic hazard and a stellar prisma once. however, this was during 8.6-ish.
