Recently I have been on the hunt for another bot to add to my collection that would be a blast to play. I was wondering if anyone here would have some input on what they think. I am not looking for performance just the fun factor. I am in low diamond so effectiveness isn’t an issue.
I have had fun with tanks and glass cannons so I don’t really have a preference on robot type, just looking for something that would be a fun side project.

If you like to focus on unique play styles and want something that has a unique tactical situation, then Nemesis is a good choice. With it's fast recharging ability and 2 mediums it's going to feel different. If you like movement as a primary focus and want to try something out of the box, then Hover will do you well. With it's special maneuverability, you can get anywhere. Fun fact: it can also fly forever! (If you want more tips on flight go to the flight school thread) If you like to feel like a powerful rusher but want to use something unique, try Rhino. It's really fast in a straight line, and because of it's moving style you need to manage your turning. If you like the idea of healing a group of people and feeling involved, they Weyland and Tyr are both unique options. Weyland will make you feel like a base, and you can help support the whole team. Keep in mind it is slow, so your better off dropping it in an area where it is needed most. Tyr on the other hand is much faster. It's actually a decent brawler; it's physical shield provides protection and it's healing boosts can repair your allies really quick. If you want to run a more useful and smaller healing robot then Mender will be your best choice. It's one of 2 robots that can heal grey damage. If you want to catch up to your team to help them out, then Demeter is your best bet; that's what it was made for, and it's a great brawler! If you like flying stuff and want something that is neat, then Ao Qin or Ao Guang are good choices. If you love the idea of flying forever, then Fafnir is your best choice; it's the only robot that was meant to do so. If you like the spider robots, then Fujin, Rajin, and Jaeger are your best options. I should say now that Jaeger is a better version of the other 2, and Rajin's shield is immensely powerful. Fujin was left behind. It's also the cover of War Robots, either Fujin or Vityaz.

These suggestions are my opinions about the most unique robots to run for weirdness and fun.

Just a few of the bots I have that I enjoy a lot.
Loki — lots of beacon trolling goodness with added ability to blow people up if they ignore you. Can also help keep red off balance by switching beacons in their rear they thought were safe. Played well, you can hang by your stowed guns in places Red can’t easily dislodge you — all while you keep their beacons capped
Skyros — a lot of the same as Loki, but trade the finesse of the Loki for an in-your face approach. Not as many ways to troll holding beacons, but you can push Reds around and off bridges to their death.
Mender — variety of play, especially with the Marie pilot. Make it tanky, help Blue, and bask in the knowledge that you’re such a PITA that smart Reds have a big target on you
Invader — not a lot of damage, but there’s an imposing inevitability to it that I haven’t seen much elsewhere. It’s like Red has to stop a slow-moving Avalanche. Make it tanky and it can last a long time if played right.
There are others that are fun — or used to be but got ruined — but these are a few.

I’d say Falcon is my favorite out of those three, and is the only one I use. Like others have already said though, there are endless choices for a cult bot. If you are curious about a bot, look it up on YouTube for some demonstrations of its capabilities.

Falcon is my favorite of that group and the only bot I’ve ever run 5 of in a full hangar (not even Geps, back in the GepMag days). But for fun factor, you can’t do that Traditionalist crap; you need to go for full jumping glory. Which means 3x heavy weapons, tough to upgrade for some. Of that group for Diamond, I’d probably go Strider first, if you’re looking for less of a single-bot investment.
Also, all 3 have high skill ceilings and you really need to stick with them to get the most fun.

Raven - With 2 Light/2 Medium, can be anything from a knife fighting to long range sniper.
Has a double jump,so you can move across the map quickly and boost your damage while jumping.
There are pilots that give you a defense boost or enable stealth.
She’s a chaos stirrer.

Depends on what kind of fun you are after. Striders and Pursuers are my choice for purple bots. Speed and agility are important to me, and I own multiples with different builds. Fun AND effective Falcon is a great tactical swiss army knife that can do a lot of things well in the right hands. Hellburner can be hell on wheels in the right hands. All are fun cult bots, how good you get with them is on the driver

I have the most fun in my Phantom and my Blitz. edit: sorry. purple tier. I'd say Falcon and Bulgasari Yeah, Blitz is back in my main hangar w 2x Sonic and 2x Needle. Still totally viable in upper Champions League and fun as all get out.

Raven is the most fun bot. It just is. So versatile.
I do have a soft spot in my skull heart for the Pursuer, though. It's a frickin' sports car.

How does one get a Hover? I cannot research them and the forum has no info that I could find.

Thank you for all of the information. Glad to see that almost all of the bots seem to have fans. Hopefully I will find one that hits that sweet spot for me. I started with Falcon.

Falcon is a solid platform, with lots of viable weapon options. The original 'Trad' tank, but it can serve many roles. Good choice
