They’re pretty bad these days. Lackluster damage (even in 6 Pack they are meh), several affordable weapons being direct upgrades to it, and a long reload for little payoff means only nostalgia could make you run them.

Unless you are in silver league or lower, don’t invest resources in these. Enemy durability and repair is too robust, and enemy speed will end you during reload

It's not the beast it once was. 079 and Ogre are right. It's not a serious contender any more. It's an embarrassment bomb.

Once upon a time, I had a Tulumbas/Pin setup on Griffin & then Raven. And there was a time when those could demolish, say, an Ares with the shield down, or an Ao Jun that just landed behind weak cover. But those days are long past, and I don't see them ever returning.

I think that if they had a 1 second dry fire, they would improve significantly; same with Pins. They're one of the coolest functioning weapons in my opinion and it's a shame they were left behind. Imagine a 20 rocket mag, a 1 second dry fire and 40% more damage as it scales so that lower leagues can use them the same but higher leagues can use them effectively, they would be fun to use, especially because you could do something with them.

Maybe we'll get an Ultimate Tulumba.

I'm glad they took care of Hussar, Marquess, and Dragoon, but Pin, Tulumbas, and Trident are basically the rocket counterpart of them.

The thing is though is that the flame rockets exist, so Pixonic would never buff these weapons enough to be comparable to them. Pixonic sees the flame rockets as the counterparts to the Dragoon family.

I would only run Tulumbas if I had nothing else or pre-leveled a set from long ago & sell new ones for the 8K silver (yes they nerfed the resale on it & many others) because there are better drops to invest into.

Can't quite bring myself to sell them.

It's a shame too. Once upon a time it was my favorite weapon. The sound... the smoke... the death from 500 meters. Oh yeah!

Pixonic sees the flame rockets as the counterparts to the Dragoon family. In the same way they buffed the Hussar, which have Pulsars as a secondary option, Fainters, and Hazards as direct replacements, and many others like the 800 meter lasers with similar better equipment, there's some hope they would buff Tulumbas, Pin, and Trident. The correct way to balance equipment would be to have the Tulumbas better than the Scorcher and have the Scorcher effect make it better than the Tulumbas, so besides everything I'm still hopeful.

I still have tulumbas, pins, and orkans from years ago when I played (took a 4 year break until two months ago). So I tried tulus on my scorpion thinking to pop in unload the mag and blink back, should be good results for that type of attack due to the mag reload andscorp cool down times. Not even close to the damage I was use to using fatal havoks. Upgraded weapons I don’t sell, but I got rid of those fragile and poor jumping griffiths.
