Just paving the way for a Quantum Radar Drone, Weapons Add-On and/or Quantum Radar Legendary Pilot. I expect to see at least one of these no later than 9.2, but with Pix’s accelerated pace lately, probably see em in 9.1.
Circling the drain is not unlike spiralling into a black hole. Things are bound to get weirder and weirder as we approach the final collapse.

Oh yeah, And one of the Omega guys has one armed with 2x Stakes all 2.12 and the Legendary Pilot at 61. He crushed first place by a wide margin.
Party with that, cowboy!

Are we not gonna talk about how this bot is the spiritual successor to the Executioner Module (its ability instantly kills low-health enemies)?

Heh, ultra fast.... forcefield.... stealth and more speed with an instakill gun and short cooldown which forcefield will protect you from... add in Kestrel for up to 100% deathmark, tons of repair and extra speed... and for good measure Stake for Aegis and high damage at close range... Just rush forwards and kill everything.
I've said before that the cycle has been intensifying, the frequency of it and the power leap has been increasing every time. The funny thing is taking that logic in a month or so Lynx will probably already be surpassed, and then so on and so forth... Kind of puts into my perspective my argument about nerfing the prior metas further being an anti player move doesn't it?
You know call me jaded... and I am, but it's just so sad to see a game I once loved so much and poured hours into every day descend into utter madness, The potential was so massive and yet it all crashes and burns... We had a small glimmer of hope with 8.7, then ever since it's only gotten so much worse... The game I once loved is dead, I'll keep using what I have of course and get as much out of it as I can, but I just don't care anymore... All I do now is laugh and shake my head in resigned disappointment at the disgusting fate of this game, nothing but endless greed.

When the meta is experiencing exponential growth, but you’re linear the FU hanger is your attempt to spit in the face of your executioner. Or you can “burn the boats” like ѻﻭɼﻉ did. Your other options are to stay on the hamster wheel or to try vainly to keep up while gradually falling farther behind and getting angry as you get left in the dust.

This Force Field meta is gonna get real boring (as if it hasn’t already!). Rather than have defenses that have specific weaknesses like resistance (weak to mitigation), shields (can be depleted or bypassed), or absorbers (only last for a limited time), the new bots all instead have a kitchen sink shield that combines the best aspects of all of the shields. It’s always active, cannot be mitigated or bypassed (besides corrosion, but corrosion guns are not meta by any means), and grants crazy damage reduction (even when “weakened”, it still grants 80% reduction). We are already back on to the path to the tank meta where Beacon Rush is unplayable and titans are less valuable than normal robots (they lack drones and their mitigation-based weapons are useless against normal robots’ defenses). Like NexusBlade said, the moment of calm that was 8.7 could not feel further behind us. But hey, at least I get to chuckle every time this robot that makes Seraph look like a classic War Robots design wheels by!

I'd love to add an effect where Lynx wheels squeak every so often as if a bearing has gone bad. By the way, I can't help but think of a far better wheeled robot PvP game when I see images of the Lynx show up.

one of the reasons I gave up this game. It is impossible to keep up unless you want to use your mortgage payment to do it. It became a job with endless upgrades on new bots or weapons. It was exhausting.
However, when someone is smart enough to create Walking War Robots legacy game then count me in. Any era before the dashes showed up will work for me.

On top of this, the "weapon guarantee drone" will have weapons that break weapons faster and damage legs more. It's a feature, and then its a module, and then the Weyland gets the buff" restores damage to legs and Broken weapons based on time in radius" and we celebrate. Because now it's a feature. What's next is either movement locking (your stuck running in a direction), locking turning (as a module or weapon), and percent based damage. Course with the pilots you have an insane "Sniper, Machine gun or Shotgun that does 10% per shot and fires like Havoc-Scatter." Of course, these are only the new features. There will be many robots between this and now. The next flying robot will either have a new shield, possibly stealth, a Seraph shield maybe, or maybe they will make the Ancile completely broken somehow. It will fly up, shoot a sniper round, and then charge to the nearest enemy like Rook. Maybe it will have an extreme explosion upon crashing, maybe this explosion will break weapons. If the Rook flight is a mistake, then eventually something along the lines of it will replace it. The direct next robot to be released, however, is either going to be that idea they had with the freeze bombs, something more focused on pushing players, or something made to counter the Crisis. Like this Quantum idea. If they play their cards right with our patience, (and they have by buffing older equipment), than they can afford to make more unbalanced and money making ideas. I believe Yamantau will be released from June-October. The next new map will be mentioned in 1 1/2 - 2 years. It will be around the size of Factory, maybe called the Swamps. Covered in very dangerous terrain because "we want it to be more exciting". The map will be half the problem. Fortunately, there will be a robot capable of avoiding the swamps, which apply slowness in their highly damaging corrosion pools. Completely immune to all damage and able to fire robots will exist in 1-2 years. They are tempted, and getting closer, but the robot that shoots in true invincibility is something they will work on. The direct next counter to crisis is along the Quantum buff, most likely a legendary Pilot for something capable, maybe Behemoth in Siege has Quantum Radar, or Something irrelevant like Hades, Leech, or maybe even Hover. The pilot won't help the Hover; only allow it to shoot stealthed people. Most likely though this Pilot goes on Ao Ju- oh wait. Buff Ao Jun? Just like longer ability or something. The Pilot goes to Typhon, Fenrir, Tyr, (look at the pattern of where they put legendary pilots for old stuff), maybe Loki, they already messed with the Ao qin and Ao Guang so maybe not Ao Jun, Maybe Hawk or Jaeger. Just to see stealth during ability. Would help the jaeger and with 2 Reapers it might be a Meta, along with a cannon buff or 2. After the Stealth countering meta, since stealth is once again obsolete, we need tanks again. Introducing Replacement to Fenrir: Juggernaut! With 2 Heavy and 2 Medium active all times, and a switch ability between ultimate defense and a built in flamethrower like Ao Jun, it's basically the Ao Jun flame walking glitch on a titan of a robot. It wouldn't be slow enough. It would go 45kph and have 340,000 hp at mk3, and 2 Physical shields in the front that maybe replace on ability switching. Maybe. It would heal itself with a passive ability (They are never giving those up) (Honestly their about to be a huge problem), making it an almost unkillable tank. It's defense is either resistance, a Seraph shield, or if their really pushing their luck a Reflector. After newer tanks with passive abilities, we would once again want something faster, lighter, and more "fun". Introducing Zephyrus! (This is the Bahamut idea I had a while ago but I changed it's name because of Discord). What a hilarious way to bring my broken robot into the game! Replacing the Hover (They can't go back and forth on one thing for too long), with a built in Pinata style weapon with partially percent based damage, 3 dimensions of travel, unlimited flight, a built in nuclear amplifier as a passive ability, a new shield I made called a Reactor Shield (Blocks higher amounts of damage better), 3 Legendary Pilots, and really fast turning and mobility in the air, there's no better time to add something like this. Plus, It will introduce percent based damage to the game with it's Light and Medium weapons, Overload and Critical! These nuclear based weapons would fire like Fission and Fusion (see Robots and Weapons Tournament to read about them), or they would fire like the Spear (which is due for a Medium and Heavy weapon). After this terrible meta ends around this time in 2025, People would call for it's demise, and it would be nerfed really hard. Slower in the air (losing it's purpose), much less weapon damage, weaker shield, much weaker passive ability, and a nerf to all 3 legendary pilots. Don't worry though, it would have broken the game enough to deserve this. Don't worry though, a new Sniper Meta would replace it! With either having the Gauss (an eternal beauty), the Reaper, or a new Sniper (they will never let the Nashhorn see the light of day again) called something else that bypasses this and every other energy shield. A true kill all weapon, Replacing the Gauss and Reaper (The Reaper doesn't go through physical and Energy shields). This sniper would have 1 weakness - Ha. You fell for it. The next generation has the weakness and almost replaces this one entirely. There will be an eventual buff to Flux, 15-50% more damage and less reload. The same mag though; they don't always fix everything. It would outmatch Prisma for 600-800 meters. Regardless of the weapon, it's time to replace Jaeger! With 3-4 Heavy weapons and a 1100m range bypass all sniper with a 5 second reload, this monster means no one is safe. Another Sniper Meta. Buff the Erebus missiles; 8 second cooldown and 20% more damage. nerf to Juggernaut, 15% less hp and longer switching time; less healing too. Less Weapon damage by 30% (it was a close range monster everyone complained about until Zephyrus was introduced to counter with percent damage, but it's still in the Meta; it also forced Angler out because of raw Damage). This new Sniper robot would also Kill Rook easily, applying some form of Emp or some effect to make it's shield die instantly: maybe blast charge because exploding sniper bullets are cool? At this point the Lynx has been nerfed; indirectly by the Juggernaut and the jaeger 2, but it's actual nerf will be to speed and hp. In the same fashion the Seraph is equal to the Ao Jun in flight as of now, the Lynx is equal to the Orochi. The Executioner feature will have kept it relevant for some time, until it's at 8% for robots and 5% for titans. The harpoon weapons will have weaker shields and a slower fire rate, and the Crisis will have at this point 10 seconds of no stealth after shooting and 10 kph slower, making it much easier to kill. As for the Titans of this timeline, when Juggernaut is released, so will either something like my Ragnarok or Thor ideas (Robot and Weapons Tournament thread). Behemoths that are medium speed on ground (40kph) and almost impossible to kill. Maybe because of the theme Ragnarok will also be introduced along with Vesta and inferno (Robots and Weapons Tournament thread). At the same time Zephyrus torments the game so will Aeolus (Ryujin (Robots and Weapons Tournament)). Along with Fission and Fusion, it will destroy from a distance with it's insane splash damage. It will counter Ragnarok, and destroy everything else. It has a Reactor shield on it, so no amount of damage, big or small, can erase it. A flying tank. And a lethal Sniper Titan. It will be nerfed along with Zephyrus, weaker shield and less resistance in its abilities; potentially a sniper buff. It's Soar ability will have 2 charges, and it's Soar duration will be cut to 2/3. Fission and Fusion will be buffed, potentially too much, and then nerfed hard. Since Aeolus was also a sniper they will skip over the Sniper Titan idea for a year or 3; to not get caught up in the same field so it waits until the next sniper meta. Alongside the Jaeger 2.0 will be something related to it's lore like Aether and nether; they like that too much. It will be either an opposite or a counter. And what's the opposite of sniping? Brawling! Which is the next meta. Another Brawling Titan will have to be better than the Aeolus was in it's prime, but since people would be complaining about crossing the map, it will be either a slow Behemoth Titan, maybe Thor to counter Ragnarok, or something Fast and Deadly. Maybe a giant Orochi - Blitz mix. Suppression and speed, (their high on suppression for Titans), combined with either strong defense, or a powerful built in Shotgun (surprise it's both) and it would cross 600-700 meters in a few seconds (they don't care about speed complaints enough). Complete Replacement to Minos ad Rook. If they ever feel forgiving and the odds roll that way, we will get another old stuff buff. Buff the Ao Jun, finally! 10 seconds flight and 14 seconds cooldown on top of all the 1st edition chaos. The Ao Ming, Arthur, and Kid will get a buff: Arthur has 30% more speed when shields folded out, blast is every 8 seconds, defense points when shields forward. Ao Ming has 30% more damage on the ground, +60 resistance in the air, +50 on the ground, a 20% speed boost, and heals 40% of grey damage to itself along with a 30% healing buff. Gendarme and Cuirassier get a 25% buff to keep up and have a 10 second reload. Rupture has a 12 second reload and a .25 fire rate, .5 when empty. Vengeance gets a spread buff, 8 second reload and longer mag, Cyclone and Cataclysm get 8 second reload, 15% more damage kept at range and a 30% buff, Squall and Grom get a 20 second mag, Tsar gets an 8 second Reload, Striker get 15% damage buff, Sharanga now has 100% more damage on ability, 15% more hp, and it's phase exile deals 30,000 damage bypassing everything. Nodens heals 10% per link, and 20% is it uses no link. It's suppression is the first to last 10 seconds, and it wont be the last. Kid has 50 more defense points, and 15% more damage for all weapons in ability, and it's roast does 50,000 damage over the 5 seconds; an orbital strike. Roast also lasts 8 seconds so 80,000 damage. Murometz is now the bottom of the food chain, along with Heimdall. Dazzler and Lantern get 1 last nerf; it takes the whole mag to blind someone. Heimdall gets 15% bonus damage during attack ability, finally bringing it back a little. Now Titans are once again the problem. After a few months of course. And from titans they solve it and the Sniper meta with something like Stealth, which is no longer obsolete. What an Avatar cycle. What a shame. of course I'm wrong to believe that they would only do this. They will do way worse.

BIG UPDATE!!
They have nerfed it already. In-stealth duration has gone from 12 seconds to 8 seconds.
Guess what? They are saying it was a bug. For 「fluffernutter」s sake.
EDIT: Don't get me wrong, I'm pleased about the nerf. Just ridiculous how it came out nowhere near ready and clearly wasn't thought through properly. Its still effective, just not as OP.

Ah yes, funny how the "bugs" always apply to new additions and make them stronger not weaker... Totally a whoopsies right everyone? Lol. But in all seriousness you still get the pilot that increases the ability duration, and with everything the bot brings to the table it's still going to proliferate widely and be overwhelming for a while before pix replaces it. I expect to see players running 5 in a hanger in no time.
