His stream of consciousness insult rant at the end was pretty weaksauce compared to Predator's smooth-as-silk food-laden editorial.

Nice rant, but it really should be directed at Pixonic. Hackers gonna hack. Pixonic could shut down hackers today if they wanted. 90% of hackers are on the PC platform. Shutdown PC until all the vulnerabilities are plugged. Do it!

Now, the question is whether he really doesn't see that differentiation or if he does, doesn't want to bite the hand that feeds him, and is instead providing a misplaced rant?

But since when has an online platform ever needed shutting down in order to plug vulnerabilities?

It doesn't need to be shutdown in order to plug vulnerabilities, but shutdown until the vulnerability holes have been plugged. This is a drastic measure for sure, and if Pixonic would focus on quality instead of content for a while they wouldn't need to do this.
It's all a moot point anyway... because they likely aren't going to do anything at all.

Anyway, the thing is, if you shut down the system I don't think you will find the vulnerabilities (that is assuming Pix isn't complicit in the hacking).

I'm pretty sure they know what the issues are by now. It's either going to take them a while to fix it, or (like you suggest) they're not planning on fixing it.
Depending on the nature of the vulnerabilities, I have to believe they are concerned about the health of their systems/servers. Currently the hackers are cheating at the game, but what if they start more malicious activity, like taking down servers, hacking player's accounts, etc.? That would be game over for Pixonic and everyone.

Over on The U's discord there's a hacking post showing how you can get loads of resources for a lot less RM. Not a how-to, more like look what this jerk is doing. Pix closed this loophole in their code. HOW CONVENIENT that they managed to figure out how to fix this kind of hacking. Alright, alright, don't worry, I'm fine now. Thanks for your concern. No honestly, I'm good. Hand me my beer back, thanks.

Yes, I think this shows that they ARE COMPLICIT in the hacking. As Oliver Kloesov just commented above, any hacking that attacks Pixonic's business, and not other players, is quickly shut down. To me, this shows that the in-game cheating is sanctioned by Pixonic.
