The compensation threads aside, havent seen anyone talking about drone setups or upgrades. Not even which are effective for certain style bots.
i forget most of the time they are back, although i have my main hangar assigned with one each. They just dont hold the same appeal after NOT having them. But if anything, there are some uber OP bots since they are back, and of COURSE whales and similar have them maxed out already.
Anyone? ANYONE?? Bueller?? BUELLLLLEEERRRR??
(i dont really care honestly. Just figured I would get the convo going)

oh nice. I will have to check it out in a bit. I was just curious if anyone else had anything to add to it, or are alot not running drones still. Might as well run them even if you dont upgrade, something is better than nothing i guess. |

I maxed the Patron Drone for my Seraph as defensive verse the many Blinding Titan weapons in game now . It’s awesome, I get blinded and go into Stealth and the Third Ability gives me 5 seconds of attacking as not being blinded till I land or as I have finished off a couple of Titans in those attacks.
Some Clan members use Patron maxed verse Anglers blinding effect also .

Yes, it was still a terrible rework, but it did put decent drones in reach of F2P players like myself. Because of this I only really know about the purple ones, so I will just mention my top two purple ones.
Whiteout is great for beacon runners or ambushers. The 5% speed boost is very nice and emp can be quite powerful. The heal is pretty good but not always practical. Because of this bringing it to level 4 is a really cheap way to power up your beacon runners. (I am looking at Orochi on this one)
Patron is also pretty good. Anti blinding is invaluable for Titian killers like Hawk. The passive damage boost is also quite nice.
Other than these two there is nothing too special in purple tier. I am only wondering about the blast/freeze drone’s on freeze immune defense. Does it work with an immune amp? If so, that may make it much more valuable.

Here is my contribution to the cause as far as the Armadillo drone goes. Pretty sure my napkin math is within tolerance, anecdotally... this drone at lvl12 is just like it used to be: it turns you into a Juggernaught duelist. (NOT Leroy-Jenkins)  |

I’m, frankly, exhausted and disgusted, with this whole scam. I sort of plugged mine in as they were before. My 2nd Hanger is naked except the free Barrel Drone.

I'm...not thrilled with the drone situation, I guess I hadn't "accumulated" enough to hit whatever Pixonic's threshold is. But, I played 2-3 games this morning and so far, so much more of the same old same old. |

Didn’t touch em for a few days then started looking at my stack of 6K blue chippies and my 3 lonely Armadillos and assorted others.
I recently said somewhere I was going droneless after the update because I incorrectly assumed that once you loaded a drone on a bot it wasn’t coming off ever. After the forum sorted me out on that issue I decided to max one of my Dillos and move it around on my various fragile mechs to see whats what. Still there
No big revelations IMO, and I’m in expert league now! 👀
I’m assuming that if I blow thru my stack and put all my drones in play I will prob blast back into masters, so nah for now.
Im staying where the anglers are fewer
