I think in one way or another they would manage and attempt to reuse the model. They would probably still call them drones.
As for Yamantau, they stated multiple times that it would be returning, and even recently said it would be returning soon. (If my information is correct.) If they did remove drones and Yamantau never comes back, then I would be sad knowing that my favorite map ever would never return, and I would be scared of the damage people couldn't deal without their drones. If they don't have their drones, they will run the best stuff. Whether new or old, there's bound to be a meta again. I would estimate it to be established a little while after they promised Yamantau back, which I think is sometime this year.
