Used to be you downloaded them and inserted them as an image. Haven't been able to get that to work for a while. Tried a few other options but no go so far. How does it work now for animated gifs?

It depends on the site I guess. If they provide a link, too easy. Download can be tricky. I've had to upload again to somewhere like imgur and get a link from there.

It provides a link but everytime I use Insert Image to add it, it just makes a blank post. Ditto downloading the image and then trying to upload under Add Image. This keeps happening regardless of the image. What am I missing? How do you add the link so it displays? |

just testing here. On Giphy - in the 'share' link (paperplane), copying a gif link. In here, reply, insert image, paste  Sometimes I get what you describe - blank, nonresult - and I'm afraid I don't know why. The link you want should be labelled 'direct', if it's even there edit; if you can save the gif to your disk, and have an account on imgur, you can upload it there and get a 'direct link' |
