So, I'm sitting on 50 Gold crates and 300 Silver crates at the moment. Should I burn em on this playoff, or hold off, keep saving, and wait for the next event? If I'm correct, it should require opening crates for points.

I'm going for it, but for the A-Coins, not the minigun. I also have nearly triple the amount of crates and I really want to unlock some of those blueprints. Unless you really need the A-Coins, I'd say you should probably keep saving up. I feel like for bps/crate Research Events, the main item is usually subpar and the worthwhile part of the payoff is currency or pilot marks, etc. If I wasn't so tired of waiting for bps I'd probably keep holding out for an event with lots of pilot marks myself.
I'm a bit curious if the MG16 is heavy enough to be alright, even though it's not meta. But it's a legendary item that will eat into my allotment of legendary blueprints. Probably making a mistake getting it.

Keep saving. RG12 Jav12 and other things are down the pipe. Unless you’re really into the mini guns.
BTW, anyone recall how long the ‘daily’ crates stay in the saved crate section? My current ‘first’ crate is from November 25th. Thx. Just wondering when I need to start using ‘em.

Me, I only try to keep about 20 - 50 silver crates and try to aim for 10+ gold crates in stock. This is because usually 10 silver crates is enough to clear the daily 120 bp task right off the bat.
But, if you have so many...maybe save it for something worthwhile.
As for stuff coming down, I'll pass on the RG12 but will definitely splurge to get the JR12. I'm slowly leveling up Stefania after all with JR implants. That range implant has been amazing so far. That extra bit of range has been a life saver on more than one occasion and I'm dying to put dual JR12 on my KS! It'll be like the good old days when I used to run KS with JR6.

I got the top spot! Yay, 1000 A-Coins! I did a last second spree opening silver crates and it worked. Actually still have 100 gold crates left too, so I am not back at square one. And I have officially refilled my A-Coin reserves after the Myna pilot Gacha Event drained them.

I don't think they count in the event that offers the big Pilot Mark payouts. Didn't last time around if I remember correctly. I saved up enough Amateur Crates from other events to get in the top 10 and get 5,000 marks. Getting the top three seems unlikely w/I spending money, but it's worth holding your Amateur Crates in reserve just for this event. |
