Redfiend, that is a nice variety you have there in your hangar. Must be fun! FYI, Stalker which ultimately is the most OP mech I think, really starts coming into its own at Rank 6, so I'd recommend putting it at the top of the upgrade list for your R5 mechs.
I too have been doing an end of the year review of my hangar and trying to map out my next steps. I'm near the other end of the spectrum on activity as a daily (but efficient) grinder who now tries to take 1st in one Grandmaster tournament. Last year my goal was to get a full hangar of maxed mechs, catch up with the tournament META in terms of mechs, and be fully equipped on ArcTorrents and Disc Launchers which were the big tournament META weapons. I am pretty psyched that I managed to pull it off and hit all my goals.
Current Mech Lineup:
* Maxed (8 mechs): Ares, Guardian, Killshot, Panther, Shadow, Stalker, Surge, Zephyr
* Un-Maxed META-ish: Gatecrasher (Rank 3.1), Orion (4.7), Redeemer (4.4), Tengu (3.7)
* Non-META: Cheetah (2.7), Juggernaut (4.7), Lancer (5.1), MD (2.7), Paragon (5.5) and I also have an Arachnos but who cares, lol.
I plan on getting the Bastion when it comes out and will probably try to max it eventually along with the GC, Orion, Redeemer and Tengu. I am hoping I can also max the Cheetah, Lancer, and Paragon by year's end. But right now I am good on mechs and the upgrade focus is all weapons, many which have been languishing while I focused on getting the maxed mech hangar.

So basically right now I am just focused on getting all of these to Rank 6 with the priority being the META weapons EMR 16, 12 and 8 and the Shotgun 8s. Disc Launcher 8 is also one of the biggest priorities to actually take all the way up to max, because I got lucky and scored three gold DL Reload implants. I am almost done maxing my 3rd DL pilot and being able run three 24EN mechs with full DLs should be pretty brutal. And I am mixing it up this with the weapons I most want for fun with MR12s being the top of the list and then VRPG16 and PC8. I'll be sprinkling mech upgrades in there too and I don't imagine I'll get to the Jav8, LA12, or SB16 (probably not the PC8 either unfortunately), until after Orion, Redeemer and maybe Tengu are maxed. The other consideration is if I should focus on maxing any of the EMRs for that final, big critical hit bump. Gonna see how well they play at Rank 6 first before I figure that out.

Overall I'm in a good place on pilots except that I need Baron to be a 2nd EMR pilot and I'll probably get Major to become my Shotgun pilot. I already have the gold Shotgun Range implant and the gold Tengu Sky Strike Damage implant. Since I am still collecting bps on both Tengu and SG8s, I am not in a rush though. And while I do buy cheap implant scrap deals, I don't do pilot marks so it'll be a while till I have the marks for either pilot. Asami was supposed to go from being my AT pilot to Shotguns, but since I have both the Zephyr and Surge Pulse Radius implants I think I'll keep her on ATs. Gonna switch the Surge implant to Myna though once she's levelled. So far I haven't bought any implants. Hopefully I'll see the gold Guardian Radius plant in the store at some point for A-Coins. It'd be nice to finally win some gold AT Range implants too, but overall I am doing pretty good on implants. Other than that, it'd be nice to upgrade some lesser pilots for Missile Racks, Javs, VRPGs, etc, but we'll see. The rest of the roster is:
