I guess most everyone had the enough credits to snatch him for free, or perhaps got free A-coins if he was already in your hangar ?
For me, this is a pleasant surprise. I don't intend to main a sniper mech in my permanent lineup, so beside some sniping tasks for mech specific achievements, I will eventually assign him to Zephyr with either Shotguns or Arc Torrents. His HP boost will be very welcome on this mech, as well as the four implant slots. The combo will be deployed on indoor maps.

I'm going to go for the 2x Coins sales before making my birthday purchase.
The EM rifles are ALL En loadouts.
That'll bring my current hangar to par. Then I just need pilot mods. Just the point and click damage the Railgun, and now, the EM16 single pack-a-punch, he's top of the list.
Archangel has been hoarded by the AI since pilots launched. About damn time.

Free A-Coins? It just offered me pilot marks, scrap, bps or Longarm implants. Decided against going for those. Already won Archangel in a Research Event. I'm glad they're making it easier for everyone to get him, especially given how important EMRs are becoming but really he and Myna should have been made available for A-Coin purchased in the store already.

I was thinking that, like what happens during events, if you already got the pilot you'd receive A-coins instead. But unfortunately this doesn't appear to be the case.
I'm also looking forward to being able to get Myna. If Plarium released such a sought after pilot as Stefania, they can free Myna too 😾
I won't even talk about mechs commonly used by bots such as Stalker, because that's just pipe dream at this point 😑

It's annoying how they are hiding behind "we are working on a solution" for the progress path or "technical issues" for not offering cheap implants swap, but I like that they're offering Archangel for credits. The EMR / legendary pilot combination is a "must have" right now... the problem is how you complete the combo if you're F2P. I wonder if they'll have more events like this in the near future.

I just used most of my credits upgrading something I don't remember. So I will not be getting Archangel today. I tried two spins but no dice. I do have an offer for Legendary DL Reload for 3100 acoins. Is it worth it? 🤔  |

It's annoying how they are hiding behind "we are working on a solution" for the progress path I still don't get that narrative. IIRC they wanted to change the current XP-based unlocking system, because adding new mechs wouldn't be fair to either beginners or to experienced players. In this case, why don't they add new mechs right away, but condition their upgrades to the players' XP ? E.g. a complete beginner could get Surge or Redeemer right away - but he wouldn't be able to rank up these mechs beyond 1 star. He'd have to accumulate XP in order to be allowed to rank them up to 2, then 3, then 4, then 5, the 6 stars. |

Is it worth it? 🤔 It's unfortunate, but between using these A-coins to buy some credits (to ultimately get Archangel), and using them to buy the DL Reload implant - I'd get the implant. You'll be able to get Archangel eventually, but there's no telling when you'll have the chance to buy this implant next 🕵️♂️ I still haven't been able to use mine because of the broken discount system, but yesterday again I was dismayed because I missed a kill by one second (DL was still reloading, and I got killed in the meantime). Had I had this implant, which'd have shaved roughly up to 2 seconds off the reload time, I'd have been rewarded with an ultimate kill before dying 😥 I started noticing this pattern a lot lately. Perhaps you will, too. So yes, this implant is worthwile IMHO. |

I got Arch Angel on the second pull and that made me think that I was lucky and then spent 4k Acoins on the other crate to try to get the Nade12...SMH...
