Nice find! I appreciate the heads up.
This new (not Marcus) Angler pilot will make EMP and phase exile *very* important.
Recharging an ability upon making a kill is a new twist on the here-to-fore exclusively timed-cooldown mechanic.
...imagine this trickery on a Mender.
I stepped away from War Robots back in 2018, LoS weapons like Tarans and Dragoons were seen as requiring skill ti use properly due to a lack of lock-on, lock-down or auto-targeting cheese.
Upon my return I gotta say that this new style of direct LoS--> stacked damage multiplier affect on the radiation guns and these fancy new energy titan weapons is a welcomed addition to the game for me. Manual targeting while in flight and getting the kill is THE reason there's a Hover in my heart.
There will always be easy-cheese like insta lock-on-EMP and intentional buggery like Seraphs firing through walls, despite this Im still finding fun to be had via speed and smarts while smile-[fluffing] these new Hogwarts style of kitchen sinks that come along with each new update.
Improvise. Adapt. Overcome.

The phase shift pilot is one of the best pilots and worst ideas yet. A skill like this should go to something older, say, Ares? Ao Jun? If either of these 2 had this skill they would be gods. Ravana? Orochi? Dash Bots? Raven? If most robots get this kill-streak power up, they would immediately be meta. So why not give it to the Meta already? WHY NOT?? The idea of the Angler being able to do damage to you no matter what being boosted like this is crazy. What next? Are they going to make a "Phase shift bypasser" in a few months when people really hate this? Is it going to be in a Mothership, or the ability of Overpower, the next Robot? What will that do? I bet it will be like an Ares but instead of having to shoot at it it copies your firepower and combines it with it's own and hits you with that unholy damage.
What have they allowed themselves to do by doing something this outrageous?
How many times will this be said in the future? How many more ideas in the future will make this look sane?

Improvise. Adapt. Overcome. Cool that you like Hovers. You probably know they can fly forever, but did you know that you can actually re-jump and power jump as well? For double jumping, spam the ability right as you land and you may jump again like the initial jump. If you hold fuel down while landing you will hit the ground but not land. This can help line up a double jump or a power jump. Power jumps are the same thing, but in the instant you land you need to hit the ability REALLY fast; for me personally I only did it 3-4 times in a custom map. If you get it, you will jump incredibly high and fast; I jumped from the bottom of the castle valley on the ledge to the top piece next to it in 4 seconds, whereas it normally takes 7 seconds with a normal jump. I still had a lot of momentum upward, enough to get twice that height with no fuel.

Gracias for the tips, to reciprocate: just before you land the Hover, turn your feet 90 degrees away from your direction of travel. This, upon landing, will mitigate that little 'bounce' step the bot takes when you hit the ground. The advantage is an extra second NOT lost waiting for that animation to finish and an extra second gained to get behind cover. Its the little things.
