... as far as I’m concerned, all that is left is solo/duo Dom matches. Squadding with my clan is completely dominated by hacker clans.

Yessir. Been death clans all day. Rough day for solo runs. Thankfully no obvious hacking, but dripping with meta at every turn. But every match up against a squad or clan.
Few of us even shut down time drops it was so bad.

This person right here is only the tip of the tanker berg. Because this entire clan are tankers. I know cuz I have seen them over and over again. There are probably hundreds if not thousands of these clans that tank.  |

I was playing my baby account on my iphone the other day which is all level 7 stuff nothing meta at all and I hit a dude with 31 victories a 5 slot hangar and mk3 gear. im like 「whiskey tango foxtrot」?!
He was PC platform. I cant see someone spending like that so I can only assume he is hacking resources. He played like someone with 31 wins too. Except he knew he was the strongest on the field.
I knew something was up when literally the whole team was on him at center and he wouldnt go down..SMH.

And what's up with Angler the thing is nearly constantly in invisible mode? Well, honestly there are other serious OP issues as well.
And where the hell is a new map coming out or at least the Yamantau map coming back?
Oh gosh, so many changes lately, all supporting the income agenda of Pixonic with little care for the game and for the players. This is the worse time for War Robots that I've ever seen. Pixonic seems hell bent on burning it to the ground.
Sorry to jump all over but just a recap of the things that, at least in my mind, are the reasons I feel the game is an old sick man.

I really saw it this weekend as I was fitting in games here and there around splitting an ungodly amount of firewood for my MIL. The tanking, the grossly imbalanced meta, the resource reduction, the insulting "rewards" from the "events." It's awful.
I keep having this still small voice in the back of my head repeating, "Remove the app and burn the boats." I've never heard ѻﻭɼﻉ speak, but I have to wonder if it's him chanting to me from afar. |

Yeah, I find it pretty peculiar that you sell a company that is making 500 million a year for 600 and some million. I agree looks very fishy, and like you said, all the while, moving and getting exempt from sanctions. Crooked

I've only played ~6 games, but it reminds me a fair amount of the old Walking War Robots so far. |

So, I'm running two Khepris, a Mars, a Demeter, a Mender, and a Luchador. As a solo it's really hard to pull off a win. After EVERY loss I'm forced to ponder who was subtle hacking, it just shouldn't be this way.
So, like I've said before, I'll be a late adopter of the Angler. Which by then there will be a lot of Anglers out there AND by then the next thing BETTER than an Angler will be out. Pix is definitely giving us the HUGE finger and saying, "Pay dearly for the latest content or lose."
I respect many of the youtubers. Folks like Predator try hard in their own way to keep things interesting and make you wonder if some forgotten Bot/Weapon combo can be resurrected via the new pilot skills and passive modules. ANSWER: They can't. You need to run two redonk-build Seraphs, a Mars, and two Anglers if you want to make a dent in the reds.
I sincerely don't think Predator is shilling on purpose, but the end result is the current meta gear LIKE FLIPPIN' SERAPH is leaving all the other near-meta stuff behind.
Yes, I can play around with the dream of a Weyland but I have to have VERY good blues around me and we have to be up against fairly crappy randos. And in those cases I could run 5 Phantoms and still win.
If you are F2P, Pix is giving you the squeeze HARD. Don't start spending, that won't work. Stick with your 1.9 stuff and find your fun or quit.
Edit: And Adrian is predicting multi-Angler hangars everywhere. i just don't want to play a game where 50% of the time everybody is invisible. Efffffffff....

I've only played ~6 games, but it reminds me a fair amount of the old Walking War Robots so far. let us know how it goes... |

Ability lasts 7 seconds plus you get blinded at the end for 5 more, because reasons. Absolutely stupid concept and more ridiculous than the Ravana circle jerk era because you get damaged while the angler is in its "safe space" ability. When it's done you get a face full of 3 lights and 1 heavy that you just have to sit there and accept. |

let us know how it goes... Just posted an initial review based on what I've seen so far with ~3 hours of gameplay under my belt. I tried out WOR in the past and thought it was fine but P2W and my thought then was, "If I'm going to play a P2W robot game why not War Robots?" But hackers and greed is why not War Robots. Going to re-download it and get back into it... will post my in-game info if you're interested in clanning up! |

Rich get richer, poor get poorer. wouldn't be such a problem if the whales actually faced each other because it would come down to knowledge/setup/playstyle ...but that's not how it works ....many of these whales are fed seals almost every game they are not remotely close to being on par with each other...... alot of these whales like the superiority complex and thrive on it BUT they don't like it when you actually fight back hard and show them what skill means ....there's been many games where i've found my team getting repeatedly killed by a full mk3 hanger so i go hunt them and only them and leave the rest to play as they like and even ignore the lower enemy team entirely to hunt the whale and after 1-2 bots down the whale opts out lol |

Pix rejected me from the content creator program, probably because I'm so salty about... everything. I'm fine with that, because I'd rather have freedom of speech than free robots (rock, flag, and eagle!). But, I did want to make point here that I made in Discord... because of the things Pix looks for in content creators, the net result is that a lot of the channels end up being homogenized with a thin veneer of personality over it.

To this, for the various channels, you can add the following thin veneer of personality: Manni: WOOHOO! (... fair enough)Adrian: Actually that nerfed robot is still playable if you build it in this very specific way that is just as expensive as buying the new robot. ( ... again, fair enough)Aygir: [insert indecipherable mathematical formula] ( I'm sure if I had finished theoretical calculus I'd keep up with this) Tony: Geez louise papa cheese! ( NGL I love it every time he says it.) AD Gaming: I cannot believe it! ( Dude has piloted 5000 builds, has believed seven.) Danny Lightning: ( is a character Tony does when he puts on fingerless gloves)Predator: McNugget Spaghetti-o waffles! ( makes more sense than 90% of the patch notes we get, so I'll allow it)
Which isn't to take away from them at all, because as I said, I watch and enjoy them. But they're all basically positivity with a thin layer of personality to one degree or another (though Adrian has lately been the straightforward with his concerns, which I appreciate--but it's also a sign that you need to be Adrian to get away with that... only Nixon can go to China). Cultivating personality-driven influencers is all well and good, but if that's the only universe you cultivate, you won't reach everyone, especially when the underlying problems make positivity seem delusional. I remember when Predator made a video where he 1v1'd a hacker. And it's like... I understand why he did it, and it brought more attention to the problem... but it also was free advertising for the hacker who was selling his wares, and further erased the thin line between Pixonic being a victim of hackers and being complicit in it. That was pretty much when I gave up hope that we'd get anything positive on the hacking issue from the YT crowd, and my being salty and calling them out didn't help. That's not on the creators, that's on Pixonic for putting the creators in that box. And that's a choice, and it's bad for the community, the game's health, and the game's longevity. Movie studios don't tell reviewers how to review when they get early access (at least, they're not supposed to...) and the places that DO make those deals lose the public's trust in their reviews. We're in a situation now where Pixonic cultivates a garden of content creators where the best information we get from them is the dead, hollow look in Manni's eyes every time he makes a War Robots video now. |
