Yes, another "SHOULD I" post. Boring I know. But just curious what the thoughts are floating around out there about the new 8.5 update coming. Not that it means a hill of beans to me about the "prestige" badge or whatever for mk3 gear. And the new "tokens" to even be able to mk3 stuff sounds like a new "currency"for them to milk. But reading the posts over the last month or so, and seeing more mk3 stuff NOT in champs league has me wondering should i level the playing field more to. Ran into my first expert 1 with mk3 gear, and although we annihilated the team, it got me thinking about this being the new norm. experts, and most of masters now have mk3 hangars, if not full but also mostly partial hangars of mk3. Just because I wanted to show some love to my first unicorn, I took it to mk3, now making my main hangar 3 strong(invader, arachnid, weyland). I have NO weapons at that level, just because of the rate at which new stuff comes out we have to find the counter to it with what we have if we dont chase the meta like i do.
My hangar works well. I get compliments from the time drop crew, as well as others in game. I am happy with it. But just having 3 bots now at that level and I can hang with the big boys/girls, even against a full hanger of it and still come out smelling like roses. i been in masters 1/low champs for the better part of a year now, and find it satisfying, so I know its not the strength of the bot but me as the pilot. I just notice the trend of big spenders and whales tricking out their hangars to get that edge with bot/weapon power becoming more and more the thing to do in masters league. Even some champs I run into dont have full mk3 hangars and are at least on par with my stats and game play.
I have more than enough resources to take a lot of stuff to that level, I just dont want the hassle that comes with it of being "THAT GUY". Especially if they somehow intertwine it with a new MM algorithm that will hopefully be a soft fix for the games current MM code. I could happily sit at 2.12 and still play at that level. Just dont want to miss the boat on getting in before the new "currency" takes hold.

this is just me of course. I am not hard core by any stretch.
If you have the resources then do it.
Do it now while you can so you dont regret it later.

1. If it becomes a benchmark for MM rankings, it could trigger more difficult teams. Note: I don't know if they'd ever tell us. 2. You don't have the resources and would need to spend $$ to do so (and don't want to). 3. If you're trying to hold to a given league ranking, MK3 would make life more difficult.

munkeeee I would say that since Invaders/Spiders are your thing that as a minimum you should Mk3 the bots. An extra 5% of an already large health pool will serve you well.

Raijin was my first mk3 bot, still have that monster too. Used to be my titan killer, with the original 3 titans, could go toe to toe with them and do work. |

I doubt you got anything better to do with the silver since you only run a handful of bots. Get them maxed before those tokens make it hard!

Sooooooo, I did a thing, to a lot of things… hahaha. No secret I’m THAT spider guy. Got charlottes web of crawlers. So spent some GAME loot(Remember, I sell most duplicate stuff so I have a big online game $ bank) and did some weird stuff. Still thinking about doing more since Pix is cherry picking the 40% discount, I took advantage of the 25%. Took the punchers to mk3 for my main Weyland that was mk3. Bumped up first 2 arachnids in main hangar to mk3, and another invader(they got me to where I am today, so I still show them love) from second hangar. Also leveled up the sonics and flames for them as well. I may boost more bots/weps since I have an abundance of maxed mods(first things I level). Here’s the results taken all the way so far. Any suggestions on other ideas to max? I have plenty of weps, spiders, and resources. (Notice no meta, no new stuff) Few other items got some upgrade treatment as well, but not mk3.    edit*** decided, why just 1, when you have plenty to do 2 full max.  |

I MK3ed a few things. Unfortunately, my stash of gold and silver had already been depleted by my last upgrading. I spent some $$ and took my 2nd Loki’s guns and the Igniter on my Invader to MK3.
Wish it were more, but can’t justify it.

I say do it. Did a bunch I had sitting at 2.12. Just tarans and punisher type stuff. Didn’t want to get upset if I couldn’t mk3 stuff without spending or earning. However they are gonna implement it.

I MK3d an obscene amount of stuff. The full list of robots MK3d since the announcement is now: Mars, Unknown Seraph, Scarab Leech, Ares, Nemesis, Weyland, Fujin, 「female dog」mobile DeLuxe (a.k.a. Kitsune Harpy), Mercury, Dread Shell, Scavenger Shell, Loki, Butch, Stalker, Raven, Fury, Tyr, Falcon, Lancelot, Galahad, Gepard, Carnage, and Destrier.
Really looking at that Haechi or Cerberus before the deadline? But itâs kinda⦠gotten⦠a little crazy

Didn’t want to get upset if I couldn’t mk3 stuff without spending or earning. However they are gonna implement it. Yeah, I got sucked into that mindset as well. Molot-Ts, I made sure I had 4 x Venoms and 4 x Igniters. |

Assuming that you aren't going to throw gobs of money at the (first world) problem, anything @ 2.4 or higher you should consider taking to 3.1. But you know, this 3.1 token thingy could backfire in Pix's face: Whales are always gonna whale, maybe many people will be content to use 2.12 gear and they won't even try to get the 3.1 currency. And obviously, anything that is already post-nerf and you still like it moves up in your candidate for 3.1. NO FROODLES, Pic really screwed us on those. I'm surprised they haven't buffed them yet. |

yeah, i ended up taking 4 invaders, 2 arachnids, and a bunch of post nerfed been around a while weps to mk3, and very happy with the results so far.
