Considering all you have to do is log on for 7 days (over the next couple months) and you get this guy for free, I don't get why anyone would pay $10 for him. But I am sure I will be playing against someone who did before 7 days have passed, lol. That said, I was comparing his stats to Major, the gold/legendary pilot for assault weapons, and while they are exactly the same for mech HP, for Weapon Damage the boost is a bit better. A Rank 1, Neymar starts off with a 6% damage increase compared to Major's 5%. At Rank 4 he gets 23% boost vs 20% and at max it is 35% compared to 30%.
Tack on that he also has 4 implant slots, lowers sprint cooldown by 4 seconds and lengthens its duration by 1.2 seconds and he beats out Legendary pilots overall, even if he didn't boost missile weapons too. Overall, it's pretty sweet we're all getting him for free. Also as far as I can tell the sprint enhancements don't change as you level him up.

I haven't been keeping up with MA as much as I'd like to. All I know is some new 8 energy snipers came out and I'd like to replace my longarms.
Are there any other pilots with "perks" like the sprint speed buff? All my pilots are blue.

A perfect upgrade for my epic pilot Nova, whom I've mated with Zephyr.
Killing two birds with one stone, since it means I won't have to buy Helmut (which was never a priority anyway), and also that the relatively slow Zephyr (18 km/h) will get a speed boost of sorts 👌
The increased DMG over regular Legendary pilots is too much, zo. Given the dual boost capability and the additional perk, the devs should have reduced the DMG boost instead... to make the game more balanced (lol).

They already nerfed this new pilot. The HP booster was reduced to 25%. Now is more balanced. Not necessarily better than legendary, but different.

Indeed. +5% DMG, -15% HP comparaed to a Legendary pilot. In terms of HP, it's now basically equivalent to a normal Legendary pilot at Rank 6 ; or a to a maxed out Epic pilot. |

I looks like a solid pic, maybe not as good as before. I wish it was different weapons combos though. Of course he comes just after the implant removal discount.

For sure there will be more, and those with more popular skills will be offered in playoff or paying crate events. But at this point, I think this will be a nice addition for many F2P and pocket change players. It's nice that plarium offered it for free.
In my case, if I'm not able to obtain the legendary pilot for Missiles, my killshot will be piloted by Neymar instead of Nova...

In terms of bundling weapons so people could enhance both, I feel like it would have made more sense to pair up two sustained fire weapons, assault and beam. But in terms of a free pilot that really helps folks save A-Coins, this is a good combo. I feel like a lot of people might have held off on either of these weapons to prioritize the more meta weapons. I already have Nova, but I'm psyched to get a 2nd assault weapon pilot so I can run Pulse Cannon implants now too.

Hmm...interesting....
I wasn't that interested in this pilot because I don't really run assault or missile weapons much anymore, and when I do run CB12 on Ares or KS, I already have Major up to R4.
But, that Sprint decrease is nice. I can put that on a fast mech like Shadow and have endless sprints. Hmm, this could shake up my planned Scout Mech hangar. I'd totally forgotten I'd gotten my MR8 to R4 before I abandoned it. Now, I'm thinking I can either put them on Shadow first and then maybe Tengu or Lancer once I've leveled them up. I might even keep Shadow as MR8, Tengu with SG8 and Lancer with JR8. That should round off my scout hangar nicely.

OK so I didn't realize this guy is an actual person and apparently a big star of the Brazilian national soccer team. Sorry but I don't follow soccer. Did Plarium really pay for the rights to use his likeness? I mean I think I saw Jeff Goldblum in a Raid Shadow Legends ad recently. Mech Arena is nowhere near that popular but I doubt this guy's likeness cost anywhere near as much. Still kinda surprised. Guess that's a good sign for the economic health of the game, right?
