There's something about either Pixonic selling War Robots or Pixonic having a new parent company...I saw the new TOS screen pop up this morning but didn't read it, then saw a post on Reddit.

Maybee, or a rename, legal manouver to limit liability. New TOS and Service agreements im hoping are the pre cursor to them actually doing something about the hackers. Its either some thing like this or they got stung by a lawsuit and had to close the legal language to prevent further.
I took the time to read it...a few interesting points, my favorite that pixo claims no liability for a broken product. User/buyer beware.
Fot the tubers, posting videos on bugs or exploits could be a violation of the TOS
This game is mega broken! Pixonic are crooks! Plenty of games do fine without the crappy tactics these scumbags use.

So, here's another potential. What if it's basically the same ownership group under a new name?
Nothing would change (from a potential improvement standpoint, anyway).

that's probably what's going to happen... the other two options were either the new company releases less OP junk every update, improves old equipment, bring back the schutze, and make noricums more fun or make the game worse like, idk, pay premium so u can choose which game modes u want to play or else u only have quick match with FFA thrown in there or have a limited number of matches that you can play per day and u get unlimited matches if u get premium idk im just throwing out 「dookie」ty and evil ideas out there

I don't expect anything to change. I do expect the Reddit group to continue freaking out.

The effect on you in not relavent to pixo as youve agreed to accept the game "as is" as of today ... you know its a bugged out dumster fire and they take no responibility......

If true, it’s a paint job. Same folks, new face. It’s a soft reboot. Pix has to sooner or later realize the distance they are creating between players and themselves by not addressing overall gaming issues. They want profit, naturally. How long will it take them to realize if they took older gear and gave THAT a facelift, bring those established items to the modern play, just how much more $ they could make? Especially older and cheaper gear that could even retain and even draw in new players by making it available to those just starting out but also appeal to those that have been around since the beginning and would like a change instead of having to start over with the newest “idea” they have. New gets old, fast. But a fan base of other items is a missed opportunity for profit but also appeals to the masses. I chased my unicorn for yrs, YEARS. Now all you have to do is wait 45 days for meta to be a throw away to any and all. Or buy it at mk2 for a reasonable price. 🫣

Mail.ru (now VK) sold My.Games to UPWAKE.ME LTD. My.Games owns Pixonic, thus Pixonic has indeed changed hands - this is not just a name change.
The intial thing that started the War Robots "downward spiral" of gatcha and meta cycles was when Pixonic's CEO sold it to Mail.ru. One month after September 2016, when mail.ru bought pixonic, we got the first lootboxes in the halloween event, and one year later, we had dashbots. Under Pixonic's original ownership, lootboxes did not exist, they only began when mail.ru acquired War Robots.
Now, mail.ru does not own pixonic anymore - this could be a good thing or a bad thing, they say something about "better the devil you know" but who knows, maybe we'll get lucky, or maybe we'll get an energy system and only be able to play 5 matches for free per day and a repair system that makes us need to wait for our bots to be fixed (or speed it up with gold) in between games. Not unrealistic, other games do this.
The most similar game to War Robots owned by this company is called "Tacticool 5v5 shooter" - if someone were to go see how it is in the P2W/lootbox/meta cycle/etc. departments, we'd get an idea of how much (or little) change will occur to War Robots.
Edit: Also, do you guys remember back when there was not ALWAYS a special delivery event going on? It was initially only on holidays, now we just have random events that are in game "holidays?" like earth reclamation day, spacetech fair, etc. Remember back when pixonic said only 3 bots a year and now we get a bot or titan almost every month? Pepperidge farms remembers.

I think this could just be Russian businesses reorganizing to more easily pull in international money. I can’t be sure but it looks like UPWAKE.ME was created in the last few months. This says it was registered 5/4/22 i-cyprus.com/company/603873

I can't find anything on the CEO of UPWAKE.ME, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Wasn’t the game made by Russians originally? Then bought out, was it another Russian company that owned it? I might be wrong on part of that. But with all the bad wrap Russia gets lately. Perhaps this is an effort to make it appear less Russian. Just guessing though. Don’t take this as facts.

Pepperidge farms remembers. mail.ru yes that’s the one. I couldn’t remember the company that bought it back then. I remember things got sucky when the dash bots came out. Tons of gambling started then. I hope we are lucky & things do change for the better. It’s been hard over the years to see this game get so greedy. I’m all for supporting a game & spending in them to do so. But when greed is so thick . It’s hard to feel good about it.
