Needless to day the video above isn't the last word on the subject but he's put words to what's been rumbling in my head. "So, we all convert to EV but where is that massive amount of electricity going to come from?" And for the US it'll be either natural gas or coal. I love the idea of wind and solar but we have a storage and transmission issue that will hopefully get solved sooner rather than later. I used to semi-hate nuclear but for the past 10 years I can't help but think that if the waste is stored properly AND we don't have a melt-down, it's a great alternative.
I'm going to write a new filter for the word "fluffernutter" set the output to our favorite eff-bomb and watch this forum melt down in recursive glory! Don't tempt me I'll do it!

a lot of places are making nuclear work for them. still gives me the heebie-jeebies though. the alternatives are coming along though, and those ideas are harder to bury now that everyone's looking for them
