Wondering if anyone here has run Ares with a Nitro Unit? â¦so you cat get the 「fluffernutter」 outta dodge when the shield is down? Need to remember to point your knees toward your escape route in advance  . To directly answer, no I have not, but my son used to put nitro on everything and he loved it. But he played more for the true fun of it vs. competitive. |

I ask here because the NU are broke in the test server, havent worked for months, so its difficult to get a feel for a more agile Ares in ts. I play for fun too, but you can still be competitive. I got a triple living legend with Hazard Rog in Champ League 🤘🏻 Anyways, I always liked the sort of Predator meets Jesse aspect of Ares and was thinking to play it, but its speed impediments are a real debbie downer |

Do let us know how it goes. I'm currently running Ares with Pulsar/Magnetar. Can't seem to make anything work as a brawler, which Ares used to be really good at.

My intention was mainly to compensate for the speed reduction during ability, but even still it didnt seem to work as hoped. I ran BSGs and it was difficult to live very long in a brawl for sure.
I asked a friend who just uses Ares as a top notch midranger. He runs Beak or Paralysis, two RA, 1 NA, and a Hazard Blight loadout.
Nitro Ares is a no go

The better question is if anyone is running Ares at all. The bot looks good on paper, but it cannot brawl at all in this meta. The prevalence of shieldbreaker, EMP, and lock-down means this bot needs to stay back at range to actually have room for error. With something like blast shot guns, if the opponent has any of the three aforementioned things (which everyone does), nitro unit will not save you, not by a long shot. Heck, I would take a Molot Ares over a blast shotgun Ares because I will survive more than one engagement. If I were you, I’d think about Nitro Leech, as it can take some hits and thus make good use of Nitro’s speed to enter and leave engagements.

Does quite well as midrange, especially once titans come out. I’m sure other people have noticed, but when you run uncommon builds like Ares, Rog, Strider, Pursuer for example, there appears to be some respect from teammates particularly when you’re killin’ it, from Menders, Demeters, and Khepris in particular. All evening last night I kept getting tethered, or suddenly Menders and Demeters are right there with me tag teaming. That tends to warm the salty heart a bit in a game where the majority of allies have beaconphobia. One of my favorite things running Demeter is to find the ally who is fighting alone and struggling, then suddenly I am there, and you know they really appreciated that. Its like they fist bump you with a friendly fire burst then you roll on together the rest of the match. I found this incredibly helpful with bsg Ares brawling, but it is too hit or miss to depend on that. Anyways, here’s what I started doing and it worked well interim while my two Blights cook: RA x2 NA Advanced Repair Unit Hazards Shredders (temp) Northlight (building a dual GA Orion for Yamantau) I can already tell you from running Hazard Fafnir, that the radiation Ares is nasty, the charged Absorber being particularly brutal against titans. |

I use Ares daily , I run the same Hanger for any / every mode and Ares is one of my main damage accumulation Bots .   |

Just out of a TDM with Ares nailing a double kill . One with weapons on Siren and one with Retribution on Sereph both at Castle lower bridge location . I enjoy the Bot but then again I don’t have any current Bots / Weapons in action.  |
