Today's (05/09) javelin specialisation spree is worth a mere 100 a-coins.
I wonder why we aren't being given the usual 300 a-coins instead.
Tried to post this on Plarium's official forum but I discovered that I've been banned.
Even though I've only rarely posted yet their forum has been polluted by spam for weeks - which they can't even be arsed to clean up 🙄

Plarium seems to be a bit touchy. What could you have been banned for?
I wonder if management and accounting are looking at the books and pushing for greater returns. I’ve always felt Plarium’s been rather generous. Could see them continuing to scale back on some rewards.

They also scaled back they number of keys you get midway through the Battlethon event. Normally those are three keys in an event but now it's just one.
I am kinda wondering if it is 100AC for all sprees or just because this one is for an old weapon, the Javs. If this is for every spree I think it will backfire on players' spending. I have bought new gear mainly for the spree rewards.

According to them, I allegedly spammed the forum :  Which is obviously BS since I hadn't posted in several months before they decided to ban me. And of course their support team can't be contacted since the link doesn't work 🙄 I didn't play during the beta but apparently that's when they were very generous. Next, I expect them to reduce the monthly fortune key event to 150 a-coins, down from 400 a-coins 🙄 |

LOL, that was the same message I got when I got banned for a week. Too bad for them I guess. I have no intention of going back. They obviously can't take any form of criticism.
And yeah, I really miss the Beta days. I still like the game, but have resolved to stop spending money.

I'm still hoping this is an experiment of some kind or temporary change in the Spree rewards. Normally Sprees drop (in my time zone) on Monday and Thursday evenings and usually last a day longer than these new Sprees. Sometimes though that schedule is off by a day for either a new item or because of some other special event overlapping.
This week the 100AC events have been on Sunday, Tuesday and now Thursday. They've also been for older gear - Javs, Rocket Mortar 10/12, and now ArcTorrent 6/10. I honestly don't remember when we last had a RM Spree. Javs were in the regular rotation for a long time now but are basically something everyone has. ArcTorrents have also been in the regular rotation either as just 12s or all ATs. This 6/10 thing is definitely new. Also there are more Battlethons this week although they only give crates.
So I don't know. If this is some kind of off week and they are featuring gear everyone has, instead of mainly new items limited to paying players, then I don't mind as much. As long as we return to our regularly scheduled program next week. But if this is the new normal I am definitely cutting my spending. If they want me to buy more A-Coins they need to offer them at a rate of 200 per $1, not penny-pinch my in-game rewards.
I realize it might be naieve to think this temporary, but they have done a lot of these kind of experiments for just a week or so. Also, the Spree rewards really incentivized folks buying new gear. It doesn't seem to make much sense to cut that. Fingers crossed...

On the flip side...if this IS and experiment to do more Sprees for lesser prize, then hopefully they do 3 in a week so that you still get a chance to do all three, with each one easier than the old 300 coin Spree. I used to ignore the Sprees, mostly cause they usually featured mechs or weapons I didn't have or use or have leveled up. Now, if I skip one, it's only 100 coins vs 300.

They made an official announcement about this:
"Dear @everyone ! We want to make a quick note about the rewards in the ongoing Specialization Spree and Battlethon events. You see, this week is special as it is dedicated to the usage of older Mech Arena weapons and Mechs. All objectives within these experimental events have no "upgrade" tasks in them so on the account that you have the content in your Inventory all tasks can be completed with all of your resources intact, hence the change in the rewards that all of you have been noticing"

And yet, the new Spree is to use AT6 and AT10 but NOT AT12. So, for folks like me, with underleveled AT6, no AT10 and R6 AT12, I'm stuck trying to grind the Spree tasks with underleveled AT6 that tickled mechs at my level...sheesh, there's always a way to screw us!

I got bored and called this out on their forum in a sense.. we will see if I get banned..  what it really means is any weapon you can get in the shop will be lower payouts.. things you pay for.. will be better... they just say things all funny like.  |

Thanks lrob for posting the Discord announcement! Why don't they just announce these things in advance and use the in-game news section to do so?? I'm sure tons of players freaked when they saw the payouts go down and probably a whole bunch paused spending because of it. Communication is not their strong point that's for sure. It's a little too on the nose that this thread also includes how messed up their forum is. |

That's a tough one. My AT6 is at 5.7 and I was still glad I could skip the 1.7M damage task. Stalker, Orion or Brickhouse could be good mounts assuming they're levelled enough to take some hits. Otherwise I could see Panther being decent when the fence is up or Ares with its shield. |
