Personally, I'm still debating in my head as to what I should focus on after I finished maxing my Surge and cloning my AT12. This week, the 2v2 challenge was brutal but eye opening for sure. Lots of folks playing for the 100 Acoins and lots of people using Arc Torrents (myself included) for the 300 Acoins. Not sure if you guys play 2v2 much, but there are 3 types of games I get.
1. Me against AI - good games and I can rack up the points and clear out the tasks.
2. Me against 1 human - the human will invariably be a camper/mole and his AI partner will be aggressive while mine is a lobotomy patient.
3. Me against 2 humans - I don't even bother and will RQ.
There's one more type where I'll get a human partner against 2 humans and it'll either be enjoyable or my partner has RQ'd not realizing that I'm human. If you do play 2v2, I strongly suggest doing it as a duo with a Friend.
I also had some games against Tengu players and that was super interesting. I haven't looked at the specs of a maxed Tengu yet, but I definitely hit one with 2 double RG blasts and it was still alive. I might have missed with of the RGs though as I hit him when it was in Stealth. The Tengu looks like a lot of fun, but I don't really have weapons for it yet. If I ever get my hands on the SG8 then for sure I'll commit to leveling my Tengu. I know, I have AT10 and AT6, and that's an option, but it would mean using the Blue CQ pilot.

2x2 is very competitive. Takes me a while to complete it.
Tengus look like a lot of fun. Paired with arcTs, Missile racks, Javs, shotties, they seem really dangerous. I appreciate that Plarium gave them a low health pool. Makes a fun skill-bot as opposed to OP content. I might have to give in and acquire a Tengu in the future.

Oh yeah, forgot I have MR8 from way back when at R4 or R5 I think... Hmmm, I'm really not a fan of the MR weapons anymore. Too long to reload. I'm really digging weapons that reload fast now. But, if I can't get the SG8 by the time I'm ready to level my Tengu, then I'll likely go MR8 for it.

Agreed. Reload is a huge consideration in the game now.
I passed on a gold disc launcher reload implant that showed up in the implant store two days ago. My A-Coins are limited and Plarium isn’t offering me deals like they used to. Now I’m thinking that may have been an error. Oh, well.

DLs reload fairly quick so don't worry about it!

It feels like the store mostly recycles the same selection of gold implants until you buy/win it. Personally I am keeping my fingers crossed for the DL reload implant. No luck so far :-(

Koalabear what does RQ stand for? I mean I get the gist but I can't figure out the acronym.

I think RQ is "rage quit". I got the DL reload implant from the store recently, but not sure how much of a difference it makes... still waiting for the implant swap discount. The 70% tax is outrageous from my point of view.

I went 1v2 during the last event with this pair I had gone against before. Guess they always play together. Even had matching weapon/mech setups that they spawned in tandem. Not sure if they were on comms too, but I managed to get the win. It was very satisfying :-)
Generally though 1v2 is a loss. In CPC going up against multiple humans can be less predictable as sometimes the matchmaker compensates and gives you far weaker opponents.

Kudos!

Don’t even try 2V2 anymore. I just RQ then vent on the wife, then she gets mad as hell and drops the “When did you start HATING ME?!?” on me. Not worth the Vault keys…
