Max range = 90m
Pilot Implant bonus RPG range +47%
Apparently "Voltaic" voids the bonus range since any hits beyond 90m are showing 0 damage.
I'm still miffed that the ability doesn't seem to do much of anything. Hit the target and 1/2 a second later, said target fires and toasts my bot.
The rate of fire could certainly use a tweak as well.
Broke it out for the specialization challenge but, I haven't used the weapon since shortly after winning it, because, well, it sucks.

Based on the videos I’ve seen of the Voltaic I bet you’re right. The rate of fire seems to be the issue. Interesting that Stalker and Surge both seemed to need buffs after release too. I wouldn’t mind if the Plasma (and maybe Auto Cannons)were made a little more relevant too.
I do commend Plarium for releasing content and the buffing it some, rather than releasing OP content and then nerfing it for new OP content. If they started doing that I’d quit all spending whatsoever.

OU812?I submitted a report on the range issue because I wasted resources to gain 47% I'm not getting. It clearly is an RPG,so it's either a bug, or has just been overlooked. I'm sure I'll get a reply that it's a "special" case.

I had an old fashioned western style face off with a Panther with dual VPRG16 in my dual RPG16 Guardian. The scrambling of my targetting was an issue at first, but A. he was straight ahead of me, and B. it stopped in time for me to get a shot off which took him down to a sliver, and then his next shot scrambled me again, but again it stopped in time for me to get a second killing shot off. I think he hit me maybe 3 - 4 times total for 2 of my return shots. But in the end, he was toast and I still had a bit of HP left. I don't know why he didn't use his Stasis Field. Maybe it was on cool down and I lucked out.

So I just bought the VRPG16 for $1.99. Figured it was worth it for the Specialization Sprees and ultimately it is EN16 weapon. The reload time and rate of fire sucks but I imagine eventually it'll be worth it to have more 16s.
Doing the Spree tasks with a level 2.1 weapon is a bear though. MVP isn't bad because that is just beacons but 1M damage and 40 kills, ugggh. I've settled on running it on my Panther along with a RG16, knocking down opponents' health with the Railgun and then finishing them off with the VRPG. Also the fence gives me the time to get damage/kill shots in. So far it is the best combo I've found, but if anyone has a better idea, I'm open to hearing it. This is gonna be a grind...

Ugh...
My deal is like $25...but it's for R4... But, at R4, it's just over 6k damager per shot so not that great. Like a JR6... I think I'll pass.

Koalabear - Yeah that was a good game! It was fun running into you! Sorry to hear the $1.99 deal isn't universal. Guess the algorithm has me pegged as a cheapskate. Which is 110% accurate! :-) I have definitely been seeing this new pattern for multi-level weapon Specialization Sprees where the heaviest version gets offered on the second day only. They did that too with the Gauss Rifle event where all the varying power levels qualify for spree tasks. The GR10 was only offered halfway into the event. Basically trying to bait people into first buying a useless low-level version, blech... I have to say the splash damage on the VRPG seems decent considering mine is just at 2.1. Once it gets into the 6s I imagine that will be it's big strength. It certainly isn't range, number of rounds fire rate or reload time, lol. But still I miss being able to play RPGs so I am interested enough to eventually level it up. Panther RG16+VRPG16 seems like the ticket for spree tasks. Had a little time to grind and MVP and 1M damage are done, and getting close to done on the 40 kills. I imagine Stalker would be good too but mine can't yet equip 16EN.

But I also think of eventually getting enough to open like 10 AICs and see if they are worth it. I seriously doubt they will be tho. |

I’m wondering if Plarium will eventually offer pilots with specific implants the way Pix offers drones with microchips. I’d be willing to pay for Stafania with a legendary Jav implant at the right price. |
