Been offered the AT10 today for $1.99. It’s low level, basically a starter. I’m considering it to pair with a 6 on a Shadow when I change things up a bit. (Otherwise, I could just commit to my Shotgun 8s when I want to change it up and ignore ATs.)
Is it worth it and does Plarium offer better deals on higher leveled ATs? I rarely buy upgrade packs so this would be a long term project. Feels like anything else I’ve purchased has stalled upgrade-wise with the dribble of blueprints Plarium is committed to.
Thanks, ya’ll. Any advice would be welcomed.

That's a bargain! My offer is $10.99 for a R3 AT10! Of course, my currency is Canadian....
I thought about it. And I'm not sure.
If I were to buy for A-coins, it's 2675 A-coins for a R4 AT10. I have 308 blueprints accumulated so I could probably clone it pretty quickly as long as I had A-coins. My Zephyr is not maxed but has 20EN, so I could use it almost right away once I cloned it and can use it with AT6 until I do. But, I still would have to get the Epic CQ pilot, get the range implant, upgrade both pilot and implant, etc... Still lots of love to make this setup OP the way other people already have.
IDK... Arc Torrents are so powerful right now. A Zep with dual AT10 went through an Ares and my Guardian on one mag in just a few seconds today. I feel like this thing needs a nerf and if enough people complain, it will get a nerf.
If I get it, it would likely be a long term project too as I wait for AT12 to become available.

On closer inspection, the $1.99 deal is for a R2/L1. Very low. I’ve got 228 BP for a AT10. Hmmm….decisions. 🤔

I looked at the numbers on the database and it looks like a good deal. It only takes around 174 bps to go from 2.1 to 6.1 to double the weapon, so you're already set on that score. The A-Coin upgrade cost from 2.1 to 4.1 (where it costs 2675 AC) is just 1625. So that's a 1050 A-Coin savings for just $2. Admittedly I didn't look at the amount of credits you'd need to use, but at 525 AC per dollar that deal looks pretty sweet. The AC costs to rank up to levels 5 and 6 are 1875 each so be aware of that for your overall upgrade planning, but AT10 is worth it. It punches like a EN12 weapon. Also, you don't start accumulating AT12 bps until you buy the weapon and they trickle in slow. If it was me I would focus on the AT10 now because it'll be a wait to rank up the 12 (and remember ranks affect weapon range on ATs) or you'd have to spend a lot of A-Coins buying bps. It is worthwhile buying the AT12 just to start accumulating bps early but the 10s are solid enough. And they are a very good point earner on certain tournament maps, especially against AI.

Thanks for the breakdown on the AC/BP/Ranking, etc. Appreciated. The deal’s looking very good, now that you point out the particulars. I find out how may BPs I have in the inventory. If you click on a weapon you don’t have it has the BPs you have in small font towards the top. A least that’s what I assume it is. Thanks again for the explanation. Too bad the anniversary tourney didn’t include A-Coins spent, like the last time, lol.

I thought I might have the bps wrong and I did - it's 194 to go from 2.1 to 6.1. Doesn't make a difference really but for the sake of accuracy, fyi. Also it's 179,250 credits to go from 2.1 to 4.1 so that seems pretty good too.

Ok, I picked it up... need to go spend the rest of my A-coins on the epic pilot and then just upgrade organically after that.
What purple and gold implants are available for the AT? I know we've talked about it, but I'm too lazy right now to go look it up.

I’ve never seen the legend or epic ones in the shop though. The database has the effects and at what lvls based on implants.

I know we've talked about it, but I'm too lazy right now to go look it up. Range only comes in gold and blue, Magazine comes only in purple, and Damage comes in all 3 colors. I have only ever encountered the purple Mag implant in the store (besides the blues of course). Supposedly the gold Range implant is available there as well. On the purple Damage implant the spreadsheet gets weird and lists it both as available and unavailable in the store (???). The gold Damage implant is unavailable from the store. FYI, I have both the purple and the blue pilots for Arcs. While the Magazine implant is helpful, it isn't that necessary so it's alright to go just with the blue pilots (and ultimately good to probably have both so you can run multiple AT mechs). That said, I'd start with the purple one if you can spend the A-Coins. I capped my blue guy at R4 to save marks for the better pilots. Which limits how much I can raise the range.

Thanks guys. Ok, I checked my inventory. I do have G-Lock already so I'm good there. I also have the purple damage and purple magazine implants. Hmm, I really want the gold range implant though. I don't recall ever seeing it in the shop either. I normally only see things like Stalker's Predator drive one for increased damage - almost picked that up but decided I wasn't going to work on my Stalker.

I have seen the gold range implant for Arc Torrents 2 or 3 times in the shop but it's possible they change what's available. The magazine implants for Arc Torrents and beam weapons are getting a buff according to the 2.08 release highlights "Mag Implants for Beam Weapons and Arc Torrents will undergo a small mechanics tweak that their fans will enjoy. Once the Update goes live, the time required to replenish ammo charge for those weapons will no longer increase alongside the Mag size - meaning you’ll get more ammo that reloads a bit faster".

Ok, so I've committed myself down this path. Stalker with GR10 will have to wait. I guess I'm just tired of being overwhelmed by ATs and Zeps and even my maxed Ares with dual CB12 can't stand up to that kind of barrage.
So, the blue range implant for AT give 54% range boost. That brings it to about 45m right? How much does the gold range implant do at max? I just want to be sure of the path I'm heading down and I'll be focusing solely on this build for a while. I even picked up the AT12 deal this morning.

I was offered an R2L1 Arc Torrent 12 this morning for $1.99! 🤯 Couldn’t believe it.

Thanks, so that chart is basically based of the AT already reaching max range on it's own? Hm..., so basically at max level, the gold only gives 5 more meter of range. Maybe I'll just do some fancy leveling. Have to level my Zep to max first, and then I can use AT10 and AT12 together. Since I have the AT12 now, no point in leveling the AT10 too much as I don't plan on having two AT builds. Once I get the AT12 to max range natively, then I can focus on leveling the implant...or wait, since bps are slow in trickling in, I can focus on leveling the implant first as that will affect both ATs and then focus on the AT12 itself.
