We were looking for something to do so why not a movie. Oh Look a new David Kronenberg Horror movie! An hour and forty-five minutes later...... Don't get me wrong, I actually like artsy flicks, even really bizarre 「dookie」 as long as it's well made. BUT, avoid this one. Unless of course you like watching people cut themselves open while other people make out with the wound. Ummm yeah no 「dookie」ting.

Yeah, I heard some people walked out of Cannes film festival presentation. "In the movie’s first dramatic scene, the boy’s mother, Djuna (Lihi Kornowski), finds the boy, Brecken (Sozos Sotiris), sitting on the floor of their bathroom, munching on a plastic garbage basket—which is telling, as “Crimes of the Future” is very much about the crimes of consumption and the system of production that led to them. Joopiter I almost watched this one, read a couple reviews, and then did a Hard Pass. Naked Lunch was interesting but horror 「popcorn」 does NOT interest me. Allegories or not.

It's understandable. Sometimes movies challenge our beliefs, status quo, and offer different perspectives on lives. I'm not a fan of horror genre but I don't think this is a horror flick per se. Anyway, I haven't seen it yet, so I should not speak about it.
