First off I'm not a dedicated gamer, I have many interests, however, this is the best-looking game I have ever seen.
Started as a Kickstarter project, still in Alpha, huge, about 80GB, download but completely worth it. The views are just phenomenal. I repeat, the views are stunning!
The "hook" of the game I think are the ships that can be bought with real money.

It is hard (for me at least), lots of new keybindings since it combines piloting and character manipulations.
All terrain is procedurally generated just like No Man's Sky.
So the first hours I started playing I managed to damage accidentally some property, got a what's called a Crime Stat and got sent to a mining prison, lol. Not the best experience possible but I've learned how to mine in prison.
But if you liked The Expanse, this feels like the closest emulation of that world (without the Protomolecule and the alien portals :-)
