This task in the new event is resulting impossible for me. I'm not aiming to win the event, currently I'm at the very low part of the top 40% in my bracket; it's more like: let's give it a shot, because it's there and why not, but so far I haven't been able to do it. A couple times I have captured 2 beacons, I'm going for the third one, and something scratches the paint of my mech, 1k damage and I'm done... that's also frustrating because in CPC battles are long. Any advice on how to succeed in this task?

TBH, I haven't really looked at the tasks...just playing and doing my thing. In my experience, trying to purposely do those tasks will just frustrate and drive me crazy. However, if it were me, I'd try to do it with KS and Shadow. It doesn't say you have to do it with the same mech right? Just in one game. Correct me if I'm wrong please.
Wait...nevermind...just re-reading the text...yeah, I think you'll have to do it with one mech. Then, go for Shadow. Wait for one of the large maps with 5 beacons where you can cap the first two without problem, like the Space map or the Ice mountain map. Sorry, still can't get the map names right as I never pay attention. Then, try to wait by one of your side's beacons, let the red and take it and be killed by blues, or if you have JR, kill it from around the corner. Then, quickly step on the beacon before another red spawns there. If possible, wait to kill it until after the beacon turns white.

I have only managed to complete it a couple times and only on the Paradise Plaza map. Been using Rocket Mortar Killshot so far, and definitely seeing more human players running those since this event started. Javelin Racks seem like the other viable option. You definitely don't want to do any line-of-sight weapons.

You definitely don't want to do any line-of-sight weapons. I did it in this map, too. Also did it once on the ice map. Pure luck, if you ask me. It’s a little infuriating to try to complete it, but, man, that dopamine rush when you do…

I finally did it!!!!!!!! Only once, using killshot in the ice map. Thank you for the advice/support. I don't know how many times I tried, but who is counting?

So you capture 3 control points in one match with no damage. And just with that one mech. You can't do it in multiple matches?

Any of the event tasks you can keep doing match after match and you'll earn the points each time. No upper limit. But for this task you do need to capture 3 control points with your first mech without every being hit. Each match you pull that off earns you 300pts.

I gave it a rest for a bit and then started trying again. Up to four successful completions so far, mostly on Paradise Plaza but also got it on the moon map once. But the real heartbreaker match was on Skyrim (flying aircraft carrier map). I lasted the whole game without getting hit and helped turn three beacons with the third one not until 3 minutes into the match. I was so psyched especially because it is a 3 beacon map. but when the match ended I only got credit for two!?! Guess I accidentally dashed off the first beacon a second early - I definitely was camped out for a while on all three turning them. Ah well, almost had it...
