So, I was experimenting with different EN8 weapons on my Shadow. So far, I've tried LA8, JR8 and DL8.
One nice thing about the LA8 is that the ability and cooldown sync pretty nicely with the LA's unload and reload time. So, if you like to snipe and then go into cover for an eternity, this build works well. Me, not so much.
DL8 was ok, but I don't like being exposed so much to get those curving shots. Maybe I'm still not using them right. Also, even though they are ranked higher than my JR8 and have higher damage, I actually score more kills with the JR8. Must be hitting them from the side or behind.
JR8 is a truly worthy successor to the JR6. I get why they went with one missile only now. If it fired multiple missiles, it would be very OP. As it is, it's balanced by the fact that you have to expose yourself a bit more to try to hit those targets behind cover and perform those beautiful arching shots. I can't wait until I can rank up this weapon more. Right now, at R4, they're only slightly more powerful than my R6 JR6.
I haven't tried PC8 yet but I'm guessing that unless I rank up my PC8, I'm probably not going to like this build very much. I'm just too pre-disposed to running JRs on my Shadow.
