I am only playing til the end of my powercells, then will be walking away from War Robots permanently. This is imminent. This game is a complex system of formulas that are now largely monetary dependent to function. Micro-transactions are a never-ending money pit, and with the nerf/release cycles you are put into a position where the main objective of the game is an endless upgrade cycle, with Pix never reimbursing players for the several levels of devalued items. Since I do not want upgrading to be my primary reason to play, look at the frequent conditions of the gameplay we are suppose to be able to enjoy; conditions Pix is too incompetent to resolve: - lag, damage not registering, vanishing targets that aren’t teleporters, delayed spawn into match, can’t spawn mechs and left in spectator mode, frozen players, connectivity issues despite perfect internet connection, kicked to hangar, app crash to home screen, cheaters and hackers… I retired from clans primarily because I’m disgusted with the mm that too frequently matches squads against randoms who are often ill-equipped to even fight back. I also don’t like lack of coordination, teammates making the same mistakes repeatedly, and unwillingness to listen to reason for more tactical teamwork, and also don’t like cocky condescending 「roast beef」s, its just a game. Further, playing solo, and this really is what has broke the camel's back for me, is ever since around the release of Erebus, we have witnessed an extreme decline in quality players, waaay more than we were accustomed to all these years. In most of the matches I play, which are bugged as hell, I am often left fighting multiple enemies or grabbing or defending beacons alone, because we’re in an era of beaconphobia, an epidemic of campers. So all this combined, after a match last night I said out loud to myself “why in the 「fluffernutter」 do I still play and invest in this troubled game, when I can spend far less to enjoy console games without all the bull「dookie」?” So there you have it. Most of my gaming is Pubg and Modern Combat Versus at the moment. I’ve been investigating consoles and games for some time, so instead of continuing this addiction and staying in denial of the true state of War Robots, I’m moving on to invest my energy and time in more functional stuff. You will be deeply, deeply missed. Never had a chance to play with or against you, but you’ve been a surprisingly large part of the game for me. Your even temper, level-headedness, and grasp of the ridiculous intricacies of this game have been continually astounding and always welcome.

I've only been here a little while, but I've always found your posts well worth reading. Clearly a steady mind, seeing a big picture. This forum will be diminished without your presence, but I'm sure you'll keep adding to the 'sum positive', wherever you go.

Thank you for being yourself, playing the game and being a mod.
Have/will miss all of the mods that have made a choice to move on. Really appreciate this forum, and it's a lot of the effort that the mods put into the forum that reflect that.

Do you man, it’s just a game. If you come back great, if not then all the best. I think that’s the true victory, playing a game and being so invested in it, then realizing you need to walk away and have more peace of mind than an irritating game. Kudos to you sir.

Thanks for all of your contributions! I have been playing since almost when the game first came out and I too have been contemplating quitting. The upcoming nerfs are purely a cash grab as you mention for a new upgrade cycle. I will see how things go but It may be the proverbial straw.

Pix has pushed away so many great players it truly makes me sad. Most the long time players are long gone.

So sad to see another War Robots player get to your level of frustration. I totally get your reasons and agree with almost everything. War Robots is really the only game I play, although I've had a PS4 for many years, I really never played it much. I still enjoy War Robots despite it's flaws, which are many. Sadly almost all games are moving to the micro-transaction scheme, it makes them lots of money. I still think War Robots has the best graphics and physics of any mobile game I have ever seen. I don't worry about maxing out the latest weapons or bots. I know they will get nerfed. I Only have a few items maxed out and none are META. Losing is a part of the game just as much as winning is. As they say, you can't win them all, therefore I play to have fun and use strategy to try and win. However, there are lots of matches I want to reach through the screen and rip someone's head because of the beaconphobia or lack of strategy. Way too many times in fact. lol Hate to see you leave. Wishing you the best no matter what you do.

Literally was thinking the other day that you had left over the summer and then came back. And gave back to the war robots community with well thought out insights on your posts. Was thinking of quitting myself a few weeks back. But alas, after a week the game gave me that itch again and I came back after yet another reset. I wonder if you need the same. Or does it need to be gone forever. As stated in one of my threads: people keep coming back to this game. If so, we would welcome you back with open arms. If not, then we hope you find your peace. Thank you for you hard work here. Really appreciated the guides for newer bots drones etc. If you have never played Borderlands series you should give it try. Plenty of cheaper alternatives out there for gaming. Good Luck!!

Sorry to hear it, but I've been slowing way down as well.
Might be time to give 6 pack a(nother) try. I've been playing almost exclusively 6 pack (just qualified for Feb this morning) and it really does scratch an itch that PUBG doesn't for me.
That being said, I'm 7Chandrian in PUBG too, maybe see you out there.

Will one of you Mods talk some sense into this guy? Too valued of a resource and what us elderberries might refer to as an “institutional knowledge” bearer.
You can hire three people at $30/hr to replace the person making $105…. But the 105 actually knows what they’re doing….
Part of what seems to be getting you down is endemic of current society. A breakdown. “I gots mine!” Why help a fellow random Blue? Why rush to help your fellow man if the situation looks dire? Why stop your car to help that person stuck on the road? Or run into that burning house because a woman is screaming about her children inside? It could certainly mean the death of you, both. We do it because we’re good people. Because it’s the right thing to do. Because we ALL win.
Console? >$500… broken controller? >$50… new game? $$? That’s a lot of PCells and Ag upgrades, we’re all aware. But… It’s all relative.
Come hang out for an afternoon w a coupla of us at my local pool hall, not a bar, a real, ol’ timey pool hall. Let’s play 20-30 games of 9 Ball, (hot balls are $1 on the 5, and $5 on the 9) if you’re not a shooter, we’ll spot ya 3 or 4 balls… our collective frustration and resulting elation will create and fulfill unquenched Zen.
I’ll even give ya a Jefferson for the Juke Box. See? Now there’s 40k in Cells right there…

It's been an honor playing with you as well, I too feel the same, we just put up with the lags and spectator mode and full squad spawn raiding because once in a while you get a balanced game that lasts the whole 10 minutes.
However, Update 7.9 is Pix's giant middle finger to all the veteran champion players, and aside from those who already have 5 maxed Khepris with homing bullets, for the rest of us it is pointless to continue. I have been playing for 5 years and have never seen such drastic nerf to the meta, everything down to the last stands, the entire hangar that took 5 years to build became useless in one update. This "rebalance" is not that at all, it is targeting specifically at the meta, all those bots and weapons and modules that took so many event coins to make, silver to upgrade, and gold to build the pilots and drones. This rebalance is beyond betrayal, it is purely theft.
Maybe Pixonic is audacious enough to think that we are so addicted we are willing to shell out some more to start over, maybe there are enough people out there who's always willing to drop a few G's at every updates to get the 5 maxed Khepris with homing bullets.
I am not one of them, so like you I'll stop at 7.9 as well.
I only miss the friends we made along the way.

ѻﻭɼﻉ Hate to see you go bud, but you really hung in there, so kudos! I've always been an advocate of playing a game until it is no longer fun. Everything you said about War Robots was true for me too. The biggest was the constant buff/nerf cycle which killed it for me finally. If / when Plarium starts doing that with Mech Assault, that would be the end for me for that game too.
