I have already seen people discussing Khepri- trains. There is also a leak about what the legendary pilot will do. If you look at its abilities and the pilot amplification of these, that top squads have already discussed the trains is no surprise, and also some indication as to one reason the Harpy & Siren did not make a huge splash, not to mention the freeze & blast storm are unimpressive. They’re excellent mechs, but the storms themselves need at least a slight buff, and no doubt the new Yang Lee shieldbreaker pilot will bring them out more. Anyways, here are a couple pics about Khepri.
At the moment in test server, the ability is such that longer ranged support weapons don’t make sense, because you have to be pretty close to allies for them to benefit from Khepri ability boons. That’s why Blaze, Scatters, or Toxins are a great fit. If on live release they extend the ability further out, then weapons like Snaer, Magnetar, Spark, or Skald would also allow you to help without getting deep in the fight pit. So we’ll see, but as far as preparing weapons, I personally would go with closer range.
Khepri is fun, and though I like it, personally I am fully committing to my Demeter. Your tough Menders will also be an excellent alternative. My point is, while Khepri will very likely become meta, it won’t be so in the sense it is a “must have” like some meta releases have generally been, such as Ravana or Leech metas which were particularly difficult to deal with.
