I've been posting on this forum for around 2 weeks not, and I didn't even know this section was here. Oops.
Anyway, here is my history of War Robots.
I downloaded the game in 2016-17, on my old amazon fire Kindle and began building up my hangar towards the best bots which at the time were the Raijin and Fujin. I also had older legacy bots like Boa, Natasha and Leo as well. I didn't spend any money on the game then, as I don't remember there being much of interest to me. I was having a great time cruising along in the game when boom, out came the update that brought out Dreadnought map and the Hover. I remember seeing a video online showing all the features of the new update, and I was so hyped. I went to download it, but it went wrong. It wouldn't install the update, and to be honest it was more the crappy Kindle's fault than the game. Long story short there wasn't enough space for the game and it somehow self deleted all my progress. I uninstalled the game because there was nothing else I could do, and I couldn't be bothered starting again. That was the end initially for me.
It was in November 2020 I got an ad for War Robots while watching a Youtube video- and I thought to myself "Is that game really still going?!" So I downloaded it again. Boy, had things changed. I advanced through the league's to around Silver I before I settled for a while and began rebuilding my hangar. I was devastated to discover Raijin and Fujin were now pretty useless, and energy weapons I had rarely seen before ruled the battlefield. There were now robots that could literally fly and I wanted one.
The next big thing that happened was the Serious Sam Christmas Event. It was the first time I grinded for coins, and it paid off. I managed to win a Skydriver Nightingale, and I loved her. She could fly, and I ran Taran/Gust on her for a long time. The event ended, and to my surprise my leftover coins granted me a "Techno Scorpion" whatever the heck that was. I ran Scourge/Spark on it for ages, and I quickly discovered it was one of the top 3 meta robots.
The next event was Evolife Bloom, and that's where I truly fell in love with the game. I won a Minos in the titan chest and I was overjoyed. I began spending the odd but of money on the game, and I only bought the £0.89 gold offers for a while. Then I tried my luck with keys, and it paid off. I won a Hawk from the superchest, and it was a beast. To commemorate my Raijin I also build a Weyland and a couple of Nucleons for it in Workshop. I still ran my Gale every game and I loved it.
Then everything changed, the nerf hammer hit, nerfing EMGs, Scorpion ability duration, Hawk damage to regular robots and worst of all my beloved Gale. In short, pretty much my whole hangar. I brushed it off, and carried on playing. Everything was fine, apart from my Gale. She was never the same since.
After that I started my Youtube Channel, which is called Wolfblood7. I spent more on the game intending to review builds for robots but ending up spending most of my budget on event coins and discovering I was one of the luckiest players in War Robots history, winning almost every new robot very quickly. I am currently at around 500 subs and in game I am in Expert II, with the highest league I have reached being Expert I. That pretty much brings me up to now, from blasting Nattys with my Thunder Raijin to melting everything in sight with my Skadi Corrupted Fafnir.
Sorry for the essay, that was a bit longer than I expected. I am glad to have joined this forum as I can talk to people about the game, which nobody else around me is interested in. I look forward to becoming a part of this and getting to know everybody.
