Status & Effects Guide 2022
Effects are the effects (?) applied on your robot by enemies. You can view them at the left-hand side of your screen. If you lock-on an enemy, you can see their effects and statuses on the top right hand-side of the screen. If an enemy robot has a blue lock-down, suppression, or freeze icons over its head, it means the robot is immune to the effect.
They are:
-Corrosion DoT (Damage over time)
-Freezing
-Lockdown
-Suppression
-Blast
-Death Mark
-EMP (Electro Magnetic Pulse)
-Blackout, Blackout 2.0 and Homing Blackout.
Freeze
Can be applied by: Hel, Skadi, Snaer, Glacier, Cryo, Rime, Drone chips (Freezer) and Siren's Icestorm ability.
Every projectile of the above weapons adds a portion to the meter on the left hand side of your screen. After the meter on the right-hand side of the screen fills up, the robot is frozen and a snowflake icon would appear above it. While frozen, the robot’s movement speed is decreased by 40% and incoming damage from all sources is increased by 20%. The robot's jumping speed is not affected but its speed in the air would decrease by 40%. The effect last for 5 seconds. After the effect duration, the robots gains immunity to freezing for 15 seconds.
Lockdown
Can be applied by: Magnetar, Shredder, Pulsar, Puncher, Halo, Corona, Glory, Blackout, Lockdown Ammo (Module), Pilots (Hawk’s Damned Johnny) and Drone chips (Lockdowner).
Every projectile of the above weapons adds a portion to the meter on the left hand side of your screen. After the meter on the right-hand side of the screen fills up, the robot is lockdowned and a crossed Speedometer icon would appear above it. While lockdowned, the robots can’t move, jump, or dash but they can keep shooting and use other abilities and modules. For example, a flying Fafnir can still shoot and use modules but cannot move in the air. A shield can protect you from the ammo shot by the lockdown weapons and you would not be lockdowned. But once your shield is broken/drained, the lockdown weapons can hit you and you would be lockdowned. The lockdown effect lasts for 5 second, after the effect duration, you gain immunity to the effect for 5 seconds.
Suppression
Can be applied by: Rayker’s ability, Invader’s jump, Blitz’s ability, Nightingale’s Air Support, Noden's Disposal, Drone chips (Suppressor) and Blackout.
Robots affected by Suppression deal much less damage from any source (mounted weapons, abilities and build-in weapons) for a short amount of time. Suppression reduces not only the incoming damage from any weapon but robots' abilities as well. Suppression has no effect on damage redirection that Leech’s ability does. Corrosion is affected by Suppression. Physical shields or Aegis block Suppression entirely unless a target is within an area range of its effect. Suppression bonuses stack up additively: an Invader (75% damage reduction) with Stanislav Chen in it (20% damage reduction) would give a 95% damage reduction total;
The effect lasts for 5 seconds. When the effect is over, the target becomes immune to the effect for 5 seconds.
Death Mark
Death Mark is an active module. Once activated, it targets any enemy robot below a 600m range, and the robot receives additional 20% damage from all sources for 6 seconds. Death Mark does not boost Corrosion damage. Players cannot apply more than one Death Mark to a target. If two players inflict Death Mark one after another, the effect and its duration will renew.
Blast
Can be applied by: Scald, Scorcher, Incinerator and Harpy's Firestorm ability.
Once the meter on the robot fills up, the robot explodes and does an amount of damage to itself and all ally robots within a 100m range, bypassing any damage resistance and shields. Blast damage is decreased if suppressed.
Corrosion
Can be applied by: Viper, Hornet, Wasp, Sting, Bane, Venom, Toxin, Viperstrike, Dragon Breath, Blackout and Blackout 2.0, Drone AC guns with the Acid Sprayer microchip and finally Scorpion’s build-in weapon.
Corrosion ignores all forms of damage reduction (Defence Points, Suppression, Pilot skills), and cannot be boosted by Death Mark, Freeze, Nuclear/Thermonuclear modules, Pilot skills, or Damage boosters. If you inflict corrosion damage to an enemy bot before getting destroyed, you will continue to deal damage to the robot and may destroy it. All corrosive weapons’ corrosion duration is 5 seconds, while the Toxic flamethrowers (Bane, Venom and Toxin) family’s corrosion duration only lasts 3 seconds.
Blackout, Blackout 2.0 and Homing Blackout
Blackout is applied by: Cerberus
Once Blackout hit an enemy robot, it will be:
-Lockdowned
-Suppressed (50%)
-Getting corrosive effects for 5 seconds
Blackout 2.0 is applied by: Typhon
Once Blackout 2.0 hit an enemy robot, it will be:
-Lockdowned
-Suppressed (50%)
-EMPed
Homing Blackout is applied by: Erebus
Once Homing Blackout hit an enemy robot, it will be:
-Lockdowned for 5 seconds
-Suppressed (50%)
-EMPed
- Getting corrosive effects for 5 seconds
Note: All of the Blackouts also inflict damage. This damage can be increased on Erebus with it's legendary pilot, Jad Parkes.
EMP
Can be applied by: Erebus, Typhon and Murometz.
Once a robot is hit by the above robots’ ability, it cannot activate it’s ability nor active module.
AntiControl
This module grants a robot immunity from being lockdowned or Suppressed for 5 seconds after activation, it then enters a cooldown of 45 seconds (at level 1, with one equipped on a robot) it does not protect you from the freezing effect. With 3 AntiControls, you get permanent effect immunity. The AntiControl module does protect the robot from EMP. As for Titan AntiControl, it gives protection from Suppression, Freezing and lockdown. However, it will not protect you from EMP. To compensate, it grants you additional durabilty.
This basically concludes all the status and effects in the game. Below is the gallery for the effects.
This guide is accurate as of update 7.7.7.
