Following in the footsteps of my favorite War Robots era thread from a bit over a month ago, I figured it would be cool to make another more fun, retrospective thread asking people about topics regarding the game's evolution over the years. The question here, as said in the title and poll, is if there are any "secondary" game features (as in stuff besides robots, weapons, maps, and game modes) that are worth keeping. I say 'worth keeping" because pretty much all of these were hated upon release (and some still are to an extent), but of course, opinions change over time as people either become accustomed to or actually learn to appreciate them as an addition to the game. I have a feeling that some of these (but not all) may not be a super clean-cut yes or no for people, so feel free to elaborate on what aspects of something are worth keeping and what should be changed in a post. The poll is meant to see the consensus on features as a whole, and as a note, I have enabled voters to make multiple votes, so select as many or few items as you think are worth keeping! For some reference, I'll link some old threads that illustrate discontent for a feature on its release, leaving it up to you judge if the points presented there have aged well or not. If they update black market, it is fine.
Events. Make them special. Only on holidays not every month.
Titans. Gone. I rely on it. Ruins the game for little guys.
Revert drones to old system.
MS. Useless. Boot the mf.

With one exception, I don't think you even need to get rid of these features to fix the game. Titans- make them a regular bots. Fixed. Modules, pilots, drones and etc- you can keep them but make benefits of them more moderate. So instead of magic invincibility make perks like +5% damage resistance or etc.
Orbital urinals and pretty much anything else that can deal damage to enemy behind cover needs to go ASAP.

Pilots need revamp. Like Wheel of Fortune everyone picks the same 5 letters. Then it got boring to watch, and producers had to change the system.

First, I will say these “features” are nothing more than Pixos’ get the money plan, and it seems they do well as is. So, nothing will change except the addition of more levels of power tied in with spend to have system. Can’t really blame Pixo for milking the cow while it still gives.
Drones and MS do way more than they should. Bots really do not matter anymore, just the right weapon/pilot/drone chip combo and bam! OP red killa alert! This is a game for spenders to enjoy the illusion of superiority, those who don’t spend can only fantasize about having a max LL hangar. So, accept your role, and find the fun somehow. Or, rant, and quit. The choice belongs to the individual.

To give my own opinion, pilots are the only feature I genuinely will defend. I like pilots because they strike a nice balance of effectiveness and affordability. They are not insanely expensive until high levels, and (with a few exceptions) make a noticeable but not overbearing impact on the battlefield. I also like the designs and backstories, they make for some cool lore, but this is just a side benefit. As for the motherships, boosters, and drones, they are the ones I want removed, as boosters are so artificial and a blatant cash grab, drones are both too overbearing and too complex, and motherships are just too overbearing. I have no strong feeling for the others, I like some aspects of them and dislike others, so I end up relatively neutral on them. I do like titans and special events enough to vote to keep them, but not for the black market and modules.

Call me crazy......I like it all. BUT. And that’s a big but. There needs to be two “modes”. One for all the nonsense. And one for regular play. Personally I already have that with the MM and sixpak. But to be able to pick it would be cool.

Revert back to the Walking War Robots era of before dash bots and the league system. Nothing less will do. Everything on that list sucks. The game was 1000x more fun without all the garbage.
I'd pay a hefty monthly subscription to have the old game back.

I'd pay a hefty monthly subscription to have the old game back. That's my pipe dream too. The black market was better before this last revamp, my opinion, for me. Events are fun but they are nonstop now (gee I wonder why?) so I really don't care anymore. The best part about them is when they provide a framework for swapping my hangar around. That's fun. But do I try to complete them? Nope. Not even in the slightest. Everything else can go. Although my hatred levels really still revolve around Scorpions (and Revenants to a lesser extent) and Orbital Stupidity. No skill win-more garbage. |

I can't even get components of any of the motherships apart from the base model Dreadnought A42 |

I can't even get components of any of the motherships apart from the base model Dreadnought A42 I got the Mantis free from the previous event. And this event, I won the Monarch. And 「whiskey tango foxtrot」 thing, I had 10,000 A42 Dreadnought snowflakes and accidentally bought another A42, pix would not reverse it. |
