Plasma cannons have been changed so that their rank ups give additional projectile speed. They're officially Carbine 6 now in terms of fire duration, reload, and damage. I only went to check because my R4 killshot got shredded by two R3 juggies because they were ~actually hitting me~ Too bad it's too little too late though. 6 EN weapons are kind of by the wayside with the Max EN capacities. Might be worth fooling around with on light mechs as 6.7 is a LOOOOOONG ways away, and carb 8+ Plasma 6 sounds interesting for 14 EN.  |

One of those unspoken changes... but very cool.
Might try the 6 out if I get an influx of resources any time soon, but yeah, sorta passed this in progression.

IDK, 7.5% increase in projectile speed doesn't seem like much. I'd need to see it in action before I even think about it. But, with all EN capacities gone up for light mechs, I feel I don't really need or want any leveled 6EN weapons. Like, my Shadow is ready to rank up and get 14EN and I'm just waiting to see if I get a Disk Launcher before I rank it up. Really want to try DL8 with JR6 combo.

I just started using AT's as well. They're dealing the damage they're printed as. Only problem I see looks like a bug where they don't actually *fire* if the reticle is too close to the border of the lock box.

Base projectile speed on Plasma is super slow at 86. With rank ups it should be upped to 111-112, which is a bit lower than RPG base speed, but RPGs are easy to hit with, even at min rank. |
