Nice collaboration. The Fujin has been in my line-up since I bought it last October. Originally, I ran it with (3) Tulumbas. This is my preferred load-out for pretty much all the reasons shaolinrogue identified in the video. Pre-Ancile buff the Fujin was too squishy, post buff it’s the closest a medium bot can get to being a tank. With the drop of the “new” MM, I switched to Taran’s and Orkans for strictly meta-reasons. I’m hoping once my levels reach 10ish I’ll be able to go back. |

Thanks, Dredd77 & everyone else in the Community for your great ideas and feedback! Dredd & I seem to both have a pension for difficult things & I'm really looking forward to the collaboration. Sorry if I am late answering messages in such, had a busy RL day & still trying to get my test server review finished off and uploaded. It's a little longer than normal but I figured the reload mechanics are worth seeing in real time. Plus, I couldn't resist including the couple runs where I gave the Red's a Shultze-ing in honor of the redesign  Thanks again! |

for your first project i would suggest doing something like comparing plasma builds and splash builds on robots.would be nice to see which robots benefit more from which builds

Aside from the data aspect, it doesn't overlap all that much with what I do on the side. But this isn't my first game-related blog. I maintained a Magic: the Gathering precon review site called Ertai's Lament for a number of years. Once I got serious about it, I challenged myself to post 1500 words of content every 48 hours, a pace I maintained for around three years I think. Even with the birth of my son (I wrote about 20 articles in advance to get through that). If you total up the amount of words I've written on that game, I've written about seven books.  |

Whenever I chose a road not travelled before, I ended up feeling as though I was letting my team down. Eventually, if I persisted with it, I discover the way and the unfamiliar road seemed fair to compare. Vids like this help me walk that unfamiliar path like a boss. I owe a debt to Adrian Chong for his vid of a RDB Griff which I was struggling to use properly, I know a RDB griff isn't a "rogue build" but it's still a difficult to use build on some maps and I got a lot out of watching him use it. Thanks for making such a helpful page, bookmarked it! |

Sebenza 21 Great post. The way I find that peaceful balance is by making the 5th slot my "fun" slot. I'll play solid bots in four slots, and then use the last one for whatever I feel like exploring. That way 80% of my hangar can still solidly perform, and I still have fun exploring Rogues.

I have a request that I think you might enjoy. Try a duo of carnage + 2 thunders and partner with a fury running 3 thunders. Recently ran this with a clan mate for laughs...and wow. We vaporized bots. Very unconventional but amazingly effective. At one point we memorably blasted the shield right off a rhino and took it down in like 5 seconds.

Hey Shaolin, got a build you should do a video on .. I was told the Hydras we're junk weapons.. but after getting my butt kicked by a bot using them , I decided to get a pair and test them on a Griffin paired with 2 Spirals.. I think this is now a favorite build for me..  |

My 5th 'fun' slot on both of my accounts is a long-range Leo. On Android it's L8 Leo w/ 3x L8 Gekko & L8 Zeus, and on iOS I'm catching up... Y'all have the time to study something enough to have valid opinions, so there's my suggestion for future experiments.
It's more effective than most might think, in both a 'revenge' and 'last resort' roles, it lends well to getting a last bit of damage burst at the end of a losing match, and has occasionally turned the tide to a win by picking off the last of the enemy team.
For an honorable mention, both my Galahads are 'strange' as well, sporting an Orkan & Mags on Android, and a Punisher Mk2 & Mags on iOS. Both have the roles of 'piercing-shield-breaker/capper', if that makes sense.

I think this is now a favorite build for me.. You mean the Spydra??? lol Yes, I have toyed with it a bit. Mostly just as a troll bot taking up my "play" slot as Dredd77 mentioned using it for. Actually found Hydras to be decently suited on a Rhino, with magnums. |

Looks like I'm a few days late to the party... I currently run a Trident-Pin Vityaz, which I love, but am currently levelling up another Trident to run on big-sister Natasha. I'm looking forward to seeing how the speed / firepower trades off. I think I'm about a week away from getting the L9 Trident - I can post thoughts back in here once I have a few matches under it's belt.

So after a number of days with the Natasha, I have to admit I love the firepower increase. It's a little harder to use the Pins, as getting in and out of the 500m range is difficult with Nat's lower footspeed, but the extra Trident is worth it on every map except perhaps Dead City. The Vityaz is *just* fast enough to still be a useful mid-range on that map. To counter this, I've just thrown on some Spirals for the light points. While I believe they aren't as powerful as the Pins straight up, I should be able to use them significantly more.
I may also try tossing some ECU shields on the sides if I don't like the Spirals.

I run a trident/spiral/spiral vit in my fun slot and I love it. I also recommend checking out a golem spiral/hydra/trident. Both builds are very fun and fairly effective |
