Side note on the Panther.... I was facing a human player in his Panther over the weekend and it was a huge PITA. Do you guys think that maybe the Stasis Field is too powerful? I think I might be ok if they took the timer off the Stasis Field and changed it over to HP only. High HP of course, but HP based nevertheless. Stasis field has always been OP. Just like Killshot's total package has always been OP. It might not be precedented in the code for a mech to spawn something independent of itself with HP. Arachnos's turret isn't destructible, despite what was said about it. Panther's barrier trumps tank shields, hard. Being confined to one side of the wall isn't a downside on a mech that shares the highest equip load in the game. I think they could balance it out with something pretty simple. The shield is roughly 40 meters long with 5 pucks thrown. Just drop it down to 30 meters. That keeps the power level, but makes it a more tactical shield. It makes it that much more vulnerable to KS and less able to support long invensible walking distances. It's something to consider at least IMO. That and maybe shorten the timer by 2 seconds.

Hmmmm. Why don't I put my two best weapons on my best bot? It might be awesome. And it was. 😃 Carb12's and SB12's were my original goal on my Panther Twins.(24 energy) How do you like the SB16 and the Carb12 on her?

It might even be OP with its shield. The SB gets a surprising number of kills, it's not all freeze then CB the red. I do risk getting Panther killed if I go out of cover and closer to red spawns. But I don't like sitting and waiting like a spider in its web. Very fun combo with all said. Panther does get focus fired later in TDMs, as reds get teed off at the damage it does.

Anybody else try this? I tried it on a couple of maps in CPC and it works amazing. The SB16 applies stasis pretty fast and then the RM12 drops the hammer while the Stasis Field provides cover from return fire.

I can see how it would work well. I don't hit a lot with RMs, I just use it at times as a counter to red RMs. Make them think and keep their heads down. ;-)
