This pilot wasn't even on my radar last night when I tossed my phone on the charger for a bit. Went down to the wire because he was putting up decent numbers while I was busy getting stuck against clan squads for the last hour. Seemed like my AI teammates were more interested in blocking my shots than shooting anything.  |

I can't understand where these high scores come from in tournament,where do all the tickets come from,do they buy them because for such little reward players seem to put a huge effort into getting first place.
For me keys are the most important reward in tournament now and I follow the advice posted here about coasting the first few days just to get keys,then put a bit more effort in for the last three days at the lower levels,for me I find I am getting better rewards that way rather than grinding from day one.

I can’t recall the last time I woke up to the tourney place I went to bed at. For the first several months I took tourney pretty seriously. Obviously I enjoyed the game and gathering resources was a goal. Still enjoy the game but I’ve got my hanger where I’m content and don’t see a need to grind like crazy and still possibly not score in the top three places. Plus, with the increased bot ENs I’m seeing far more dual RG and RM builds that will consistently spank me in tourney matches. Or me alone with a team of blue AI against multiple human players with 3000+ hangers. Just not worth the effort for myself. I still tourney but I manage my expectations and effort. Maybe things will improve when the game goes global. Or maybe tourney will be Plariums strategy to sell power to the playerbase. It’s best to pay if you want to place. |

I purposely lay up 2 days "stay in same bracket" then finish in masters.. usually the bunch of those players are not much to deal with as I in a sense started "late" to the brackets. Getting into GM is just a waste of time I avg more Fortune Keys the way I do it than to grind and get into the higher brackets.

They nerfed early tournament bracket rewards to try to stop people from sitting in lower brackets.
The reality of it is that for people to play tournament honestly, the game needs to have progressive rewards,for example:
4th,5th and 6th for GM is the same reward as 1st for Master. 7-10 is the same as 2-3rd in master, 10-15 is the same as 4-6th in master
4-6 for master is the same as 1st in expert
So on and so forth. Unless that happens, winning top 3 in the middle brackets will always be a better payout for the average player than trying hard against people without lives for 1st place in master/GM.

I just play to play. If I make top 3 in any tournament good for me, but i do not sweat it anymore. The payouts are chump change, and not worth worrying over. I myself would rather play Beacon Rush, I just wish the payout there was more lucrative. |

They can bring in 400+ a match. whereas, when you are higher up and facing stiff competition, 150 - 200 is a good average (unless you are a killer that takes 1st in every game no matter who you play with). This is especially true if you squad. Thing is, when I squad on tourney, we rarely come up against humans, at all. If we do, it's usually just 1 - 2 players. However if I solo, I am much more likely to see a full squad of Reds. It's a bit annoying, but maybe GR will help with that. |

A static reset with a global playerbase isn't going to work, and will likely be a hot topic of complaint now that the game has officially gone global. The MM and bracket problem is intrinsic to the "pay to advance" model, which all mobile games have. Also the reason games like this can never be competitive, or be played competitively. "Pros" are simply the folks that have played the longest and/or spent the most cash. Skill only matters in games where tools are standardized for both teams/all players. In games like this, that only happens at the tippity top with fully maxed equipment and enough players to populate a match at that level. Even then, there will probably be something to further extend the ceiling if too many players reach that one-point, because the concept of sustainable end game, and pressing every player for every penny they're willing to spend are fundamentally opposed to one another. |

I stay in the bottom bracket for the first three days then put effort into getting top spot for the last three,when I logged in last night I saw I had dropped to second spot,looking at the player I saw they were in division 10 and on closer inspection they had dual Guardian and high level weapons so was a big time tanker and was using his low level ranking to blast through the levels.
Like others I think there is still work to be done on tournament mode and im surprised the developers don't seem too interested before global launch,unless there is something in the pipeline.

It never ceases to amaze me the lengths that people will go through to "game" the system. Geez, how long must it have taken to drop to Div 10?? Or how many crappy games did the guy have to play just to stay there?

If they're in Div 10 and have a high win rate, they probably never play anything other than tournament. |

I won grandmaster yesterday for the first and most likely the last time. I had to put up 13,290 because some try-hard kept pushing me. I don’t see how people can stand playing the same map for hours and hours , ohh and it’s TDM to boot, double blahhhhhhh. I can take a couple of hours, particularly when running duo ( most preferred) or squad. 4 or 5 , nooooooo!

So I played the first tournament game of the day,all A.I bots,didn't fire a single shot and walked into enemy fire,my team won both rounds and I was awarded 60 points and dropped into a promotion spot 🤣,and how many times have I complained about my AI team being rubbish,the day I needed them to be rubbish they won the games,go figure.

So I played the first tournament game of the day,all A.I bots,didn't fire a single shot and walked into enemy fire,my team won both rounds and I was awarded 60 points and dropped into a promotion spot 🤣,and how many times have I complained about my AI team being rubbish,the day I needed them to be rubbish they won the games,go figure. I used to do the same thing until I realized you can leave the game (at the beginning no less) and get a garuanteed 1 tourney point and save 4-6 minutes of time. It hasn't failed me yet. You can even start a regular CPC or non-tourney game while you wait for your single tourney point to come in. Just something to spare you a bit of stress and or annoyance. I did this all last week and played the last day. I got a total of ~1000 tourney points for the week (all on the last day) and got 16 keys. This is perfect for me. Throw in the 3 keys every 5 days for the weekly tasks and this keeps up with my need for 60 keys every 3 weeks for the fortune vaults. No mess, no stress. |
