Something is wack-a-doo in the league algorithm for sure. I feel it in my bones. I saw a big drop within 24 hours with one top pilot. That alone is odd, but it's the other stat numbers that make the 24-hour cycle really weird.

I agree with Heavy Panda. I received my 110 gold for qualifying in D3. I was in gold prior. I got my one AU payout and no more. I suspect you weren't playing close attention. Or you worded your post poorly. Everyone got gold for where they finished the season (Link). Not everyone got gold after their 5 qualifying matches (sounds like you did). I did my 5 qualifying matches at the beginning of league. I received my initial 110 at the beginning of league. I played after the beginning of league. I received gold only at the beginning of league, not when I moved up to a higher standing in league. The next time I received gold for league standing was when the first season ended. I hope that clarify my meaning.

It takes hours to drop league. Just from diamond to private it can take up to 8 hours straight of losing matches. I don't know why you call it tanking the name is just plain stupid it's called quitting game. Tanking is when you are playing your 12/12 hangar on recruit and trashing everyone and everything.
Anyway as I see it. 8 hours of lost gameplay hmmm. It's a lot of lost gold. and then going back again to diamond or higher. It's another like 14 hours? Perhaps it's worth it.
I think one makes more gold staying in bronze and silver leagues.
Anyway going from bronze to diamond I did earn all the gold rewards for going up again it was nice but frustrating.

Yeah, I dunno. I got paid at the end of league period for diamond 2. I was at about 2650 points. Caveat is that I did not check right before it ended, but I had been 2600-2690 for a long time. And I certainly checked within the last couple of days and was about 2650. Also played very little yesterday (rolled two tasks over to today). After placement I had 2780 points. Won 4 of the 5 matches, so that would be worth about 60 points. I did NOT get any additional gold when I placed back into Diamond 2. I do track gold daily, and I definitely didn't get it. I remember looking to see if I would get paid twice and the league placement pop up had no reward mentioned. I'm on iOS if that makes a difference. Would like to hear others' experience. -Amid

So as long as you are a substantially lower league than you currently can qualify for, you will "reset" your placement each month and then "re-earn" league AU starting from whichever point you were placed at?
Seems like I have noticed this happening, the whole "re-earning" league rewards each month, but it never impelled me to deliberately "drop leagues" so I could recollect that pittance. This system sounds fair, to keep encouraging people to grow in rank placement; but I hope it doesn't impel too many people to go "AU mining". I remember having a hangar full of thunder schutzes just for this reason, so I was "part of the problem" too. But this new system seems to deter behavior like this. I just hope the number of people abusing the system does not reach such lengths as to where Pixonic sees the need to modify it again, I kind of like it the way it is now.

Man, I'm getting hammered in my league climb since the recent update. Have even been working with new bots/weapons combos to try and improve anything at all. When the recent change took effect I was halfway through Gold Level II, now I've not only dropped all the way through Gold Level III, but back into Silver League I. Soooooooo frustrating!

lol yeah those were the rules ....they almost made sense so pixonoc had to get rid of them. the replacement system makes is awkward as the built in chat system ...thats more like the pixonic ive come to know .

So this's whole logic of tanking is kinda like that play that "ineligible receiver play" that The Patriots ran against the Baltimore Ravens in the 2015 Divisionl playoff game two years ago. It was legal, it was within the rules, it was non-traditional, and used a little deception and also left the coach complaining that it was "deceptive" and "not within the spirit of the game". The spirit of the game is to win.
That's the problem, different people have different objectives. I mean even their daily challenges don't promote the most competitive team play. For example, I had a daily challenge that required capturing a certain number of beacons with a light robot in a single game. Normally, I don't have any light robots in my hangar so I had to go switch out a few bots and lined up a handful of stalkers for a game or two.
I played a match, achieved the goal by capturing the required # of beacons with light robots, but calling up the light bots from the bench made my hangar, and by extension, made my team much weaker. We lost, but I got the 40 Au for achieving the daily task so it made it a bit of a personal win in one sense.
It was a close match. With my normal hangar we definitely would have won. How is that any different?

As I stayed on topic and it's still relevant to current discussions on the league and matchmaking. I also posted in a thread that was still top of the pile in its forum slot. It was there, I saw it, I read all of it and therefore I responded.
No, it was not to p*ss you off. It was to point out that this is what you said before you took a dump on my matching formula. If that p*sses you off that's entirely on you. I still think it's a valid topic of discussion so kudos for starting the thread.
The league is a joke. Leagues are for teams as I've pointed out elsewhere.
You're not a team, I'm not a team and I really don't enjoy being somehow ranked as one.
The current ranking system leads to real frustration and anger on the part of many players because it simply does not reflect what kind of players we actually are. Being ranked by wins and losses determined only partly by ones own performance is a truly sh*tty way to measure peoples' performance. Everyone has felt that frustration when you know you're doing all that you possibly can but you can see that others obviously are not. You're getting the beacons but when you look around noone else is bothering while your opponents don't have the same problem at all. I mean you can actually watch your teammates just stand there trading blows while the beacon counter just ticks away causing a loss. And you've wasted all that effort getting the beacons and not doing as much damage as you might have to get in the top 3 on your sides loss. And then you have your tankers and other infuriating b*llsh*t that goes on in the game as well that affects your ranking, things that you have absolutely no control over at all.
Ranking players that way is ignorant, just plain stupid or it's designed specifically to force players to spend money to try and keep up. It's mean and it's sh*tty by any measure no matter how or why it was designed that way. It certainly does not encourage any of that "fair gameplay" that Pixonic harps on when they refer to punishing the leavers and tankers.
A statistical ranking system would alleviate a whole lot of that frustration and let players just enjoy the game. A fair matching system that does not use that sh*tty league ranking to build teams would be even better. Tanking would be impossible because a tanker would always find themselves in matches with similar hangers by averages.
Leaving matches is a matter of map choices by players. Let the players decide what maps that they want to play and that problem goes away. Nothing else will help on that front. Players aren't bothered by being placed in a separate league because they do this. They're still doing it while in the leavers league. Individually, by squads and by whole clans. So what good is it?
Do away with the league, match players by hangers. So simple. It's simply a matter of coding.

Could someone please explain to me how this player is in silver 1? Of course he just obliterated my team with far superior bots and weapons. 3-4x as much damage and kills than anyone esle in the match. Is it that easy to tank down? I tried to have some bad sniper games and still ended up doing a tonne of damage and couldnt help but cap a few beacons.

I can't still comprehend the league system scoring. When I win games, sometimes I get +16 points or more.. When I loose (and at dead last 6 place), I always get -7.. The -22 or the -13 is not true.. it seems. They changed it. you no longer get -22 for last place in a loss.

This thread is so old that the contents should be ignored. Currently the way it works in brief while ignoring boosters is:
Win: 2 points to a max of 16 (top kill/beacon depending on the mode and also top damage) 32 is also there for the taking if you score more than the rest of your team mates combined.
Loss has 3 categories:
1 loss after a long run of good top of the table finishes will net 9 (close to it) to -22 2 loss after mix performance: 9 to -13 3 loss after a string of bad performance will net from 9 to -7
Few other factors involved but not going into that as it would over complicate the explanation.

I’m stuck been seal bashed by champion players every match full teams of mk2 i got to lvl 30 last week. the system puts me in groups to keep my vicktrys about 50% and constantly gives me +22 trophy’s for a win so I never go down playing honestly and helping the team going for beckons when you weapons and bots are out matched just screws you over even more. Iv paid real money for 2 sparks and 2 redeemers and 2 operation passes. From what I can tell I need to pay a months wages to even compete. how do I get a fair match?
