League Qualification: Decoded
League Points:
- League Points DO NOT reset at the end of the season.
- League Points are gained and lost during Qualification in exactly the same manner as regular league play.
Winning team gets the same points in all leagues, losing side depends on your current League:

League Placement:
- At the end of Qualification, you are placed in a League corresponding to your League Points
- League Points are HIDDEN during qualification, but are still earned/lost in exactly the same manner as regular league play.
League Gold Rewards: This is where things get complicated
- League History Reset: 3 to 5 hours before Qualification started, the history of leagues you had attained was reset (NOT your league points).
- League End Award: A Gold reward is given for where you ended the League Season corresponding to this chart by boomsplat
- NOTICE: If you logged in between the League History Reset and the Start of Qualification, the game registered your league standing and you may have not received any additional league bonuses.
- IF: You did not log in between League History Reset and Start of Qualification you could earn the following Gold bonus: League Advancement Award
- League Advancement Award: Regardless of whether you Gained, Dropped, or Maintained your previous league standing, you received a Gold reward for your League Placement immediately after your final Qualification match.
Warning: There is no guarantee that Pixonic will keep Qualification the same in the future.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here are my results as an example, but the process was confirmed by other forum members too: I did not log into the game for about 8 hours prior to League Qualification. I logged in after Qualification had begun. Started: Gold 2 - 1924 points - Received 90 Gold Battle 1: Loss - 6th Place (-18) Battle 2: Loss - 6th Place (-18) Battle 3: Loss - 6th Place (-18) Battle 4: Loss - 6th Place (-18) Battle 5: Win - 6th Place (+12) Ended: Gold 3 - 1864 points - Received 80 Gold Moved Back Up to Gold 2 - Received 90 Gold ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Special thanks to Replicant Paps Dejnov Ⅎ₹ѺC₭₩ELDEℲ₹ for posting their results in a separate thread.  Also thanks @darkangel12s & zer00eyz for noticing your league "history" resets prior to Qualification. So play up till the middle of the month, then "fall down"...
When you qualify in bronze at the end of the next league you can battle your way back up to where ever you were, collecting gold all the way for winning + the league rewards till almost the end....
Between the heavy AU payouts for damage, beacons and now a reward system that gives you ZERO incentive to stay put (cumulative gold vs just the league your in) ----
At this point it is safe to assume that "tanking" is by design...

Yeah, I dunno. I got paid at the end of league period for diamond 2. I was at about 2650 points. Caveat is that I did not check right before it ended, but I had been 2600-2690 for a long time. And I certainly checked within the last couple of days and was about 2650. Also played very little yesterday (rolled two tasks over to today).
After placement I had 2780 points. Won 4 of the 5 matches, so that would be worth about 60 points.
I did NOT get any additional gold when I placed back into Diamond 2. I do track gold daily, and I definitely didn't get it. I remember looking to see if I would get paid twice and the league placement pop up had no reward mentioned.
I'm on iOS if that makes a difference. Would like to hear others' experience.

I hope that was just joking, because what you are saying is "I will spend all my WSP to build an hangar with which I'll piss over my fellow players by ruining their games". I mean, we know there are plenty of people who see no problem with that, but do you want to be one of them? If you wanna play Stalkers, at least upgrade them to max speed, and play the matches properly (with any level 1 light you kinda can't, you'll just die). |

I can let you know in 30 days if they don't change it. For gold, I can do accounting. I started today with 225 and ended with 499. That difference is 274. I rolled two tasks over and have completed 3 today worth 90 gold. I got 120 for league end. That only leaves 64 unaccounted. I know I had some first place finishes and MoCs. Now, 64 gold in addition to tasks is a ton for me. I usually get 30-40. But I did play a lot and squad. And anyway, I definitely didn't get 120 + 120 from leagues alone because I know I did 3 tasks. -Amid |

The 90 au reward from Gold 2 is available again (I was briefly Gold 2 last week).

You just have to have squad play to get back up (and with the amount of clubbers I expect this to be easy).. Even more so if you pull a war wolves and clan club while your down. I am only trying to figure out how exactly the League system works. It is against forum rules to encourage tanking or write guides on how to do it. I was merely providing a thought experiment for forum members to ponder upon. |

This is very helpful. As near as I can tell, the 5 qualifying matches just shift your existing league score the usual amount. I hoped I'd get some benefit for outperforming some diamond and expert guys but nah, just the usual -12 for a top lower spot. |

there is really NO reason whatsoever to stay at rank on end of month.
I am not sure if to start tanking this month or abandoning the game
because i think it's a practice that really hurts gameplay.

Okay, so I just finished my qualifications and got back to Diamond 1.
I finished 3030 and went back with the same league points, no Au rewards for finishing the challenge though.
