It’s good to see another shotgun Leech user. I run a Storm Leech and think it and the Corona version are pretty underrated. Even with the nerfs they are still formidable in 1v1s and make excellent counters to Scorpions. But man those Orochi acrobatics were insane. I have a new appreciation for the jump module now!

I've never ceased using shotguns after 5.8, I ran 4x 2.12 Storms for a while, and I didn't shelve them until update 6.3 was announced and I started maxing 4x Coronas, the rest is history. Shotguns are fun and effective weapons, You just have to know how to play them optimally. And with the release of Drones in 6.3 the Coronas benefitted from effects chips more than any weapon in the game, and with the buffs it got it just keeps getting better. And yeah Orochi plus the Jump module allows for some fun maneuvers and combo attacks, I've been running jump since it's release in 6.2 and trying to improve with it. I think despite it's gradual adoption it's still highly underrated.

The first one is that for a lot of my bots there are better choices for active modules, like SB for ranged builds or PS for brawlers. The other reason is that my gear is not super highly leveled so I use PS or ARP as crunches to keep my combat efficiency up. If I had mk2 bots and a super drone to fill in the defense I’d be using jump module at lot more!

If I had mk2 bots and a super drone to fill in the defense I’d be using jump module at lot more! Well I don't run jump on all my bots, Currently Passive and active modules are as follows: Cryo Rime Ares: 3x Thermonuclear Reactor with Jump unit Glory Scourge Cryptic Fenrir: 2x Heavy Armor Kit and 1 BU with Adv repair Sonic Orochi: 1 NA 1 ODU and a Last Stand with Jump unit Corona Frozen Leech: 2x ODU and a Last Stand with Jump unit Sonic Phantom: 1 ODU 1 AC and 1 Last Stand with Adv repair. My Ox Minos has 2x Antimatter reactor and 2x Plated armor kits. And also to be fair, I do have several very powerful drone builds. Like for the Leech? I run an Eye drone, it has a T3 minigun chip, a T3 Suppressor chip, a T4 Freezer chip, and a T4 Modulative Intensifier. Here all my drones atm: The Wasp to the far left is the Orochis dedicated drone, with the Discus as my usual secondary, with the Nebulas as weaker backups if needed, the Eye is Leech's dedicated drone, and the Wasp in the middle is like Orochis but swaps control resistor for T4 anti acid, and has 2x Revitalizing intensifiers, this drone is meant to boost Phantom or Fenrir.

Here are my drones for comparison Obviously they do not enhance my bots as much as yours do, only providing small damage buffs or additional defense. As a result I use more defensive active modules to make up for a lack of what could be provided by my drones. If I had high-level bots and drones like yours that grant exceptional offensive or defensive abilities, my active module is less crucial to my survival and I thus could use jump module without having to worry about the lost survivability of not using Advanced Repair Unit or PS.

079For being mostly T2 builds, honestly not bad, pretty decently optimized, Although the T3 Intensifiers for lockdown and suppression immunity are kinda meh, they're also better than nothing. Good job. And it also makes sense, Phase shift can be useful, especially as a crutch for lower level gear in higher leagues. Although you give up a lot of potential power to run it, I would advise eventually phasing it out in favor of either Adv repair "always better than PS on higher level bots imo" and jump. Obviously more specialized builds will have unique needs, and Quantum Radar and SB are pretty decent, with more power in recent times due to more stealth, and crashing absorber shields are pretty common.

Thanks for the feedback. I do look forward to the day my gear is leveled enough that I can loose the crutches and not be quite as limited in what modules I can use. Until then though, the jumping Shells and Orochis shall remain a spectacle to be simply observed.

My hanger of the week/month is shotgun scorpion. Havoc, halo, and Storm. Mk2-7 to Mk2-12.
The horizontal blast pattern is great for lag and brawling.
Lag and other pixo trickery is making my Havoc not so good. My gun is point blank in their face, and no damage registers. When it should be the most damage. My aim bad or high DR or my shots going through them?
Storm is ok, but small clip.
