What if, you could only rise in leagues, not drop. As in, when you make gold II, that's the lowest you'll be for the season. So if you got to gold II, and then went on a massive losing streak, aka tried tanking, you'd only tank to the bottom of gold II and no lower.
It seems like that would fix tanking a lot, but would there be any deleterious effects I haven't thought of?

I agree, and would like to see this be the policy to be honest. I don't see the downside.
I *think* they left the ability to drop down as a means for pilots to use a lighter hangar and play against other lighter hangars (they said something along these lines), but it doesn't really work that way. Reports from the lower leagues indicate there is no more happy place the way old low silver used to be before the new MM.
Many here will offer the argument that Pix wants clubbing and tanking. Not sure I buy into that, but I have read that theory many times here. I'm sure someone will be along shortly to elaborate on that viewpoint.

That will seem like a good idea, but we will always be forced to use our competetive hangar.

So if somebody jumps up a league after being with a good squad for a bunch of games, but is really over-leagued based on skill and hangar, they have to get their head handed to them all month? I'd be okay with no more than 2 leagues below your top achievement, but seems a little rough to say you never go down...

You could just implement a rule that to drop down you gotta be dead-armed by that O-rang in Thump's profile for every league you drop...

When I'm with my main crew life is easy. We do have some golds however, and 1 or 2 of them only have 4 slots in gold league, and lemme tell ya, against some clans 5 good players just can't drag the one lowbie up with them. I mean, you kinda have a point, but it seems really corner case. Dropping 2 leagues seems excessive, only given that this idea was meant to minimize tanking. Tanking 2 leagues is better than 1 I guess, but i dont know, being as how I'm not a tanker........
