I have 4 of my 5 main hangar bots carrying MK2 weapons. I have level 9 Nucleon/Shredders on my Hawk, so now's the time for decisions. Should I just go with it or use different weapons? If I had another pair of Magnetars, I'd run them. I currently run Pulsar/Magnetar on Tyr. What's the consensus on Hornet? I have 2 normies and a Stellar. I could do Gauss, but I'm more for the 5-600m range for Hawk. What would you do?

Browncoats4everStay where you are. Hoard your Ag. If you change horses mid-stream and swap 1.9 weapons for 1.9 of something else I don't think you'll be substantially improving your damage output.

I have Nucs & Quarkers on both Hawks & still happy with them even after the nerf with keeping on upgrading them. All now 2/4 apart from 1 Quarker which will turn green in a few hours thanks to the 25% discount. And by the way, has anyone else noticed that the 25% discount is actually more than 25%, or, is that just a difference between English maths and Russian?

I been checking offers enough to think PixoPercentages could be a whole new branch of maths. As far as Hawk goes, my 1.9 version was ok-ish in high master/low champs, Shredders still do fine with Avengers or Nucs kinda hard to judge since I got a Damned Johnny somewhere. I kinda liked the mk2max Avenger more than 1.10 Nucs, the reload cycle worked well with the flying. PunisherT Shredder Tyr, the universal specific, frees up a lot of resources for other builds. I really want to try those flame rockets on Tyr though.

Glaciers and rimes seems to be the most powerful build.

I’m running OE 2.12 Redeemers, 2.7 Quarker (got hit w the nerf hammer that 2 of em just fell right off my Blitz) and a 2.12 ECU.
If/when it Hawk gets nerfed again, I might move it to a LR build. Time will tell…

Go for range. Lots of new meta weapons. They all seem to be 600m. No idea what’s good since I don’t have any. Incenerator or Hel. The laser zappy looks like Nucleon pre-nerf, but 600m. Good at all ranges, and no lock on needed unlike the Calamity.
If all you got is legacy, then dragoon, Zeus, viper, or Hornet.
Hornet is better version of viper. Hornet is sniper weapon so it is accurate at its maximum range. Hornet also has +100m on viper.
Viper is not a sniper weapon. Sniper rifles have long gun barrel in real life so it’s very accurate. I use vipers on my hawk, and got 2x hornets on my L6 Jaeger. I would not shoot my vipers at 450-500m since it’s so bad. So effective range is 450m vs 600m which is pretty big difference in my book. Sometimes I get even closer, read on. Still much better than Nucleon which starts spraying badly the longer you fire. I’d only use Nucleon as midrange if you don’t have any of the 4 heavy weapons listed so far.
So it gets worst for vipers. They suck at hitting fast moving and small targets. So there’s no hope of hitting bots like phantom or blitz when they are running across your screen. So you have to move in closer to land your shots. But best to not waste bullets and go after slower targets.
So play ranged weapons on your hawk. Stay alive and kill titans. Magnetar or shredders, sting if you got it for lights. Shredders have the same problems as vipers. Magnetar is to Hornet :: Shredder is to Viper.
I see lots of Glacier rhyme hawks in FFA. Generally, you don’t want to land close to any reds in BR because if you don’t kill it, you’re dead.

Running both of these. Quite solid. Each in their own way. With pilot skills, solid drones, and practice, these are epic titan slayers, and able to command the field. Really like the 600’ range the Hel/Snaer provide. Hawk is fragile on the ground. The Glacier/Rime/ECU comes in handy when defending beacons mid to late game. The ability to brawl, and survive, even if to run for cover, is important at endgame, IMO.
