I was very sore (arm and joints) after shot #2 and it lasted a good while (4-5 days) but that was it. I didn’t have any other ‘symptoms’

Got my second a month ago. Felt like crud for 24hrs on the money. Then was fine. Moderna was my shot of choice. Didn’t stop me from playing though. Haha.

Good luck you all.
Speaking personally, I'm not getting any shots. There are a variety of reasons for it, but foremost is that I don't believe in being anyone's guinea pig for experimental drugs where the side effects are still being discovered.

Got my 2nd shot of Pfizer over 3 weeks ago.
I guess I was one of the lucky ones.
Slight pain in the area of the shot later in the day and the next day.
Hardly noticeable since my body radiates pain from various locations each day.
Yeah, I'm old, very old, well my body is, not my mind
Other than that, no other problems.

I got the J&J 3 days before they paused it. A sore arm was the most of it. next day was tired. After that all good.

First shot wasn’t bad - had a sore shoulder for about a day. Second shot started with a sore shoulder, then the next day just felt like total crap. Nothing severe, just the combination of joint aches, major fatigue, and a very foggy head. Oh, and no appetite, which is very unusual for me. Didn’t play anything all day - also very unusual. Much better today, but still very tired. Was a good excuse to take a day off. And so I did. 😁

I hear what you’re saying, and I already have very, very little trust in our medical system as it is. It’s just a big cooperative money making machine, where actual health care is almost an afterthought. But ... I haven’t heard of anyone dying or any really serious side affects from these vaccines yet, and I’m at a double high risk for COVID, so I figured it’s worth the risk. Really, it’s your own choice. Stay healthy, bro.

My wife's uncle got Guillain-Barre syndrome a few days after his 2nd vaccine. He was in the ICU for 4 weeks before passing away. He was 69 years old and in very good health before getting GBS. GBS is a rare condition that can be caused by vaccines in general, not just Covid-19 vaccine. If you read the warnings on the flu vaccine, you will see that. The doctors suspect his condition came from the Covid-19 vaccine and are filing formal papers with the CDC. We'll see where that goes, but I suspect we will hear something about this in the news very soon. Not to spread fear of course. I'm sure this is rare. Everyone should do what they feel comfortable with.

Yeah, if that were the only option I’d have probably held off, but I got the Pfizer. The math for me just worked out in favor of getting the shots. Chances of contracting the virus are much higher than the vaccine’s possible side affects, chances of serious affects from the virus at my age are also very high if I catch it. If I croak from the vaccine, well, then they can’t say it was that damm motorcycle.

Meanwhile in Australia. What vaccines for what pandemic?
We're so lucky we nailed covid that vaccine urgency isn't an issue otherwise we would hand been screwed due to our government ineptness with our vaccine roll out.
I have no idea when I'll be getting it.

Got my second Pfizer shot a little over three weeks ago. Got a sore arm with the first shot, nothing on the second. Then the fun began... I get bronchitis around this time of year when everything is coated in lime green pollen. Got a positive covid test when I went to the doctor. I go nowhere. The family members that do go places have tested negative 3 times in the past week. The nurse said I could do the 2 day test, which is more accurate. I'm good with only having 2 extra holes in my brain, thanks. Antibiotics and an inhaler took care of the bronchitis, so other than a still runny nose, I'm doing fine.

A lot of people I know in my age & geographic area have had both shots and are way past the side effects. My second one (Pfizer) made me pop a decent fever and want to sleep for about 24 hours, and after that, fine. Fever is your body's way of going "Hey, let me fix that for you" so that's cool. We've gotten our 16yo started with his (#2 is coming soon) and should have our 13yo vaxxed before he goes to camp in July, which is perfect.
I have rants about this whole vax process but probably no one's interested.

I got my first shot (Pfizer) yesterday. Feels just like a flu shot. My arm is sore and I can't really lift it, and I have a general overall feeling of tiredness. Basically mild symptons so I guess I'm lucky.

I actually will consider your anecdotal telling more credible than the news. Lol the state of journalism today. When the word of some robit pilot is infinitely more credible... Speaking of which, where's Fake_News?!

Speaking of which, where's Fake_News?! 1. The phased rollout was a mistake. Caused varying degrees of hysteria about who was/wasn't/could/couldn't get it when they just needed to get as many shots in arms as possible. 2. The messaging has been horrible. The mRNA vaccine theory, research, method, and process dates back to the early 1980s, if not before. The only thing "new" out of all this was the COVID-19 gene sequence needed for this particular vaccine. I remember reading an interview with a Nobel Prize-winning epidemiologist a year ago who stated that he knew of multiple research labs who were forecasting successful vaccine trials by September/October 2020; I think his timeframe was off by like two weeks but otherwise, dead on. (Among other researchers, DARPA has been working on the process to rapidly implement mRNA vaccines as a counter to biological warfare...I want to say that work is at least 10 years old, maybe 15). 3. The counter-messaging (e.g. QAnon and other conspiracy outlets) is so pronounced, complex, and agile that it's alarming, and it's damaging in ways that we're not even able to see yet.

It's the same with SARS2, you either drank the government juice, or you drank the cult juice. Then there's the 2% of humans who drank their own juice at home because it's not spiked either way. You can chose not to be either extreme! It's a matter of camps and not logic. There is zero (irrefutable facts)logic or reasoning employed by either the vaxxers or antivaxxers. They're just rabid sensationalism peddlers. I will always play devil's advocate for any side in any argument regardless of my personal opinion. But we live in a society where we only accept what we like as truth. Holy 「dookie」 I'm. Late! And here I thought I'd be brief....

You can chose not to be either extreme! Gotta say, I don't think that getting vaccinated against infectious diseases qualifies as extreme, but I suppose that's a matter of opinion nowadays. Here's my hottest of hot takes. People have gotten too smart, in the sense that they (we) think we can understand everything and our understanding is just as valid as anyone else's. We learn to string together facts and opinions and connect them with the most improbable of links, and because we KNOW how clever we are, we can't understand when we're wrong or just being obtuse. (I read about a British researcher who's just published a work about the concept and growth of spite as public discourse.) BTW, mods, feel free to punt this whole thing to Off-Topic.

I was actually wondering since yesterday why this wasn't in off topic... I came here to see rants! And to comment on the extreme bit, you misunderstood me, getting vaccinations isn't extreme. It's the extreme response emotionally and otherwise I'm attacking. For example, you yourself in your reply just now we're like, paraphrased "oh I don't see how vaccines against disease are xtreme " Not "OMFG 「special」 WHY DO YOU WANT PEOPLE TO DIE?!" you're normal, ya know. Also 100% agree with you/that research you mentioned. And THAT topic is even bigger than covid lol

Got my second shot, close to the 2 weeks then freedom now. My arm hurt like heck for a couple days, but nothing else at all!
Tonight, for the first time in nearly 15 months, I am taking my wife(well over the 2 weeks post vaccinated) out to a dine in dinner!
In 3 days, I can ditch the mask almost everywhere.......finally!

Got mine. Chills and slight fever for 24h with the 2nd one then popped out of bed right as rain.
As for side effects, hell, they're still finding side effects for a glass of wine a day and coffee much less screen-time, social media consumption and cell phone usage.
It's our modern lifestyle, baby!
