No you can't, because every single one of them has to actively move into position to shoot at a target, and can get hit on the way in. I can't just look at someone hiding behind cover 400m away and press a button to go shoot him in the 「bum-bum」. See, you've proven my original point. Scorpion has ruined you as a player to the point that you think you're making a perfectly reasonable statement. You have never met my Raven. LOL! Scorpion has an indicator to telegraph its move. Watch for it and you will know when it's coming.
If you don't want to learn anything, of course you can do that too. I mean, I run two Ravens in every match, so I've got a pretty decent idea of its capability. You're still wrong about Scorpions.

It's not the counterability, it's the total lack of skill required to get into a flanking position where you can take a shot at someone's back. Even kids playing Kancho have to try to get behind their target. You just press a button and show up there. Whoopee. We could easily say the same about any ambush style bot, e.g. Invader, Raven, Ao Jun, Pursuer, Blitz, etc. You are so wrong. Forget about opinions, on this exact example you're using you are wrong. I have a sinister freeze Leo. My range is 300. I have to physically walk, jump, and endure long range harassment to reach my target. I worked for it.

Comparing a Leo with Scorpion? Come on.

My plasma leo also has to walk about 500m to get to the target. On maps like canyon, i lose about half my health getting there. But the leo is a tough bot and can take a few hits if it has to.

So the recent Skirmish proved my point. I got the all-Scorpion hangar (with Corona/Halo) one time, and with no prior experience or particular effort involved, racked up six kills. It was stupid-easy. Get within 350m, hit the ability and hit Deathmark, and just stand and hold down the fire button.

For exampe with orkans which are just cheap cyros, it is not as easy to get a kill as it is for eshotguns or even more so, sonics.

Also, the new Ares Train is when a Scorpion teleports in to attack you and then a red Demeter teleports in right behind it and they bracket you to death.

Lots of ways to counter a scorpion. I won one, not a big fan of it, but it did take over for my Leo, will remain till my Lancelot is finished.
If you are on a map with these scorpions popping up, start moving in support formations, be it a wedge or spaced line. If I am in a position to select anyone from a group it is because I’ve already flanked them from 300 meters away and the targets got lazy behind a wall. If you have a weak or assassin bot, never take the lead, let a tanky unit do it.
Half my targets immediately swing around and open fire, the other half don’t until I unleash all my Orkans into them. Sometimes I don’t even attack, I just use someone as a teleport spot, such as a stiff defender on the ship map, to get behind the enemy lines and finally reach a beacon. I’m doing less opportunistic hunting and more like a knight doing leap frogging on a chess board to get around obstacles.
And in regards to loosing skills- not really. It is fulfilling a light infantry role similar to airborne infantry. We used to just pop in behind enemy lines without no real skill- hand off a static line and exit the aircraft, then you are there. Where is the skill in that? The skill is making successful jumps in complex high risk scenarios.
Everyone in this game is teleporting in on beacons. All my phantom does and a considerable part of what my scorpion does is grab beacons so others can suddenly teleport a bot in. I often gotta be sneaky or take a long winded route prone to time waste followed by failure- but when I do succeed whole battle shifts. All the scorpion is doing is treating red units like a blue beacon they can appear behind. If scorpions keep doing you damage then adopt a formation, or turn around and damage them before you die.
All this being said I probably wouldn’t of made them if I was a game designer. They are a bit over the top in concept.

Step one: Equip in trouble absorber on drone.
Step two: laugh at the pitiful Scorpions in their obsolescence.
Due to a combo of different drone support, none of my bots has a problem with Scorpions, to the point that they are gnats easily squashed. But I run alot of tanky bots.
