Trying to get my long range game down... as the top squads/clans are already making use of them to a large degree.
Here is my first run with the Killy RM 12 + Jav 6... well, first time in a LOONNNGG time, anyway. I ran it once back in the early days of play, last year... but that doesn't really count in my book. Also, in the vid, some time with LA 10 + LA 8 Ares... apparently I thought I had both 10s on there but I can see now that's not the case (will edit the video description later, so you don't have to call it out if you see it lol)
Any of y'all running LR gear, any tips would be appreciated. I know I make mistakes (other than just aiming with the LA) that are correctable... so if you all notice any, feel free to critique. Can be about anything, not just those weapons... I am pretty sure all y'all play more than me and have some better habits. 3 games in a day is a good day for me, lately.

Ironically, this map is the only one I do well on with LA’s. LA8+10 on Juggy, and I just sit behind one of those barriers near home between reloads and wait for reds to come out from behind cover, usually does me pretty well. I am slowly getting better with them, to the point that I may start carrying a set on the Guardian into CPC games. Still not a fan if RM’s, though. I guess they’re cheap enough when those offers come around that it couldn’t hurt to try one in combo with a jav on Killy, but if I do it won’t be until after I R5 it, which could be in the next few days.

Yeah LAs take a lot of patience... and I had forgotten to switch to vertical targeting so the aim assist was "assisting" a few times I didn't want it to...
RE: RMs... I'm not really a fan, either, but in squad play, especially with comms, they have potential to be an actual benefit. Hell... not even potential, they are proven and there are maxed squads using the tactic now. Front line has at least one player calling shots and scouting for mechs that are not on the minimap to give the RM thrower good targets, and the RM player has more time to breathe and study the map to let folk know about any defensive/offensive needs. Anyway, either this build, a Shadow, or MD, are about the only builds I would want to use them on. I don't like sitting still for long lol. I am def gonna try the Shadow, though... that would prolly only be good for solo CPC, but it reminds me of the Loki Nori build I ran when feeling like a troll in War Robots. Doubt I'll wanna write home about it, but it definitely has higher potential to add to the gameplay, rather than just camping out behind cover with my phone and a coffee .

Neat video, very impressive gameplay with long range weapons. They aren't my cup of tea but I might try out the KS and Ares builds. 👍

But there are squads with multiple RMs/LAs/RGs out there, and if you can't hit back from concealment you will get bracketed and erased. Figure we need to have a few players that can counter that, so as long as I can usually hit what I aim at, it should be enough. (I hope!)
But yeah, if it's a close - med range tourney map, that build is gone.

In my way-past-bedtime non-thinking state I succumbed to temptation and jumped on a flash deal for 800 a-coins and finally ranked up my Killshot to R5, and have enough left over to grab a RM12. Thing is, I’ve never had a burning desire for one, and the vast majority of my games are CPC. Javs are already weak for CQC, and I’d think RM’s would be even weaker. I really need to hoard my resources to get my javs up to R6; they’re currently at 5.6 and need another 48 blueprints to get to 5.7, and then whatever a-coins to rank up from there. At least that’s been my latest plan. But if there’s a benefit to jav+RM in CPC I’m not aware of .... you know, plans change.

It's more of a support build, and kinda like the next evolution of jav 6 KS. It's very good in squad battles, especially on comms, b/c my teammates can call out or tag targets for me to drop mortars on

Danny LinguiniYes, actually. Just one so far... my intent was to start with it and just get beacons and die so I could spawn Ares for a task. That didn’t happen... Granted, this was the first cpc game of the day and the AI was weak... but still... it was like playing air-soft with a bunch kids using super-soakers.

「fluffernutter」 this 「fluffernutter」ing horse「dookie」. First two games played with ranked up R5 Killshot and it got shredded even faster than before. Human Killshot with javs took me out with two salvos, while I took maybe half his health. Then a AI Killshot with PC8s just laid me to waste with one dash like it was still R2. What the absolute 「fluffernutter」. That’s what I get for playing solo. So what now, I gotta dump even more resources to get it to R6? Like I have the patience for that. This 「fluffernutter」ing game. What the 「fluffernutter」am I doing wrong. Edit: Ok, different story with even just a couple of real teammates. Noticeable difference - Killy does seem a bit sturdier now. Still on the fence about dumping resources into a RM12, though. A-coins are just too hard to come by. Maybe I’ll wait for the next $2.99 offer.

Danny Linguini - Killy is a gamble to run, now... ngl. The Dash bug is still very noticeable. I have missed folk I should not have missed, done 0 damage on confirmed hits, and been hit by folk that, on my game, were nowhere near being able to hit me. This is known by the devs but I don't know if they have made any progress on it or not. It's similar to lag if I understand it correctly... or maybe just a server - client sync issue that seems like lag... IDK. Anyway, it makes running KS risky, at best. That said, I use it anyway and take the lumps with the thumps. It's still my favorite mech... when it works and I can get "in the zone" with it (especially with 2x MR8), the fun, for me, is amplified. But, that does seem to make the moments where things don't work right, even more frustrating.
I wonder if running with a team is handled differently and the sync issues are not as bad? They do seem to be worse when I am solo and don't have a real player on either team... but that is by no means a definite statement... I don't have anywhere near a proper sample set to go by to make anything other than a guess.
Glad the squad games were better...
As far as the RM... I can't tell you that rolling with the RM 12 is worth it for you, obviously, but here is my opinion FWIW:
I don't know if I would have gotten it, now, if I hadn't gotten it back in the beginning, just because I have so much more leveled gear and am closer to endgame decision making... but I can say that I don't regret it. IOW, it's not a game changer, but it is a very viable build on open maps, and, so far, a consistent way to get long distance tasks done.

KS bug can be brutal sometimes, but I think it's tied to lag. On the topic of lag, I am seeing more lag these days. Specifically, with taking damage when I see no fire coming my way, or seeing a rooted mech (after hit with EMP) and it floats across the screen - quite funny looking actually.

Well, I got an offer and I bit. I now have a RM12 on my Killy. Results so far are mixed. When they hit, they are devastating. I may put the other jav back on and put RM8+12 on the Guardian ... haven’t decided yet. As far as squad games, today they’re horrible. Three games I’ve teamed up with one and two other humans, and the AI teammates are even more useless than usual, while the entire red AI team is ridiculously aggressive. I mean, not only do they kill everything in sight, they coordinate concurrent mass attacks on home beacons where even two of us have zero chance of defending. We didn’t just get beaten by a little bit, we got thoroughly wiped. Teammates and I were top of our teams, but they were basically 2 or 3 against 5. Meanwhile the idiots in support say the devs are constantly working on it, and they hope I like the improvements. I don’t know whether to laugh at their idea of ‘improvements’ or throw up.

Im considering upgrading these weapons and moving them to panther because i play it more than Juggy. The TL helps me get the aim correct so i can send the LA ammo downrange....not sure of it is just poor eyesite, or I $u(K.. My biggest issue is i have an issue staying back and camping, but it seem the further I progress the more campers i run into

Todays map isn't big, but it is free from overhangs to hide under(except the bridges)reds are also somewhat safe from your RM if they hug the walls between you and them.

AI has been generally brutal everywhere these last few days. I don’t quite understand the point of that, especially in tournament. I’ve complained about it loudly and often to in-game support.

Maybe they're still tweaking...TDM today was brutal. Two Arches is normally a map I enjoy running my Shadow on, but there was no way my two JR6's was going to put a dent into the wall of metal that swarmed to centre and pushed into blue territory.

I was literally sandwiched between the blues and reds and died in seconds. So much for having 73k in HP plus shield!

Oh yeah, they’re definitely tweaking. They’re just tweaking the wrong 「fluffernutter」ing way! All that aside, we’re finally making a little progress here. One of my reward crates from XP advance gave me a crapload of Jav6’s blueprints. Then I snagged 750 a-coins from a 10-key vault. Cracked open a few crates for enough credits to get the javs to 5.7, and then wham - R6. Next up, I think Panther starts getting some love next, along with SB12 and carb8. Seems to be my most effective mech if I play it smart. RM12+8 is on the Guardian now ... it’ll have a spot on some maps.

Very nice! I ran out of Panther blueprints...funny, I thought I had a ton until I started leveling up. Good thing they seem to appear in the shop every other day or so, but it's still a slow burn to get the blueprints needed. I'm at R5.5 right now. Still need well over 100 to get to R5.6 and probably another couple of hundred to get to 7 and then a whack of A-coins to get a second Panther. The whole blueprint thing is similar to getting components in War Robots, except that in War Robots, once you have the item, you no longer need components, just tons of silver. Still, I think I like the MA approach more cause I can just keep collecting blueprints of stuff I'm not leveling yet and save up a ton, and then level up when I have credits and A-coins. At least the leveling up in instant and doesn't take weeks!
