That is the question. My Panther is 5.1 and I have a ton of blueprints and lots of saved up credits. Next Dev Derby, should I rank it up? I'm thinking of shelving my Guardian or Zephyr. Played right, a Panther is better than those two. If I shelve my Guardian, I can move my Thanos build over. If I shelve my Zep, then I might pick up the SB16.
The problem is to clone, I have to give up my plan to get the CB12 cause I won't have enough resources.
If I wait to get the CB12, I can still clone the Panther later and have 3 24EN mechs.

my rule of thumb is not to get a second copy of a bot if you don't have a good setup to put on it. so I'd go carb12 first.

I think that if you want to second copy anything, the CB 12 should be high on the list. I have copied CB 10s and Killy, and am close to a couple of other items, but running just one CB 12 convinced me that all else is wasted until I have 2 of those bad mamma jammas. Truly... I can now understand everyone that said to focus on the CB 12 before anything else... and agree with them. RG is prolly the only other thing that may hold that top spot, but I still haven't even unlocked it yet, so... all my future A Coins and Credits are focused on CB 12.
One is none, two is one.

Thanks guys! I guess I'll stay the course and keep saving for the CB12. At least I can run it immediately with the TL6, which, if numbers don't lie, is still a very powerful build and would work well on the Zephyr. In hindsight, I think I shouldn't have ranked up my Zephyr and just kept saving to get the CB12 and then run it on a cloned Panther. Oh well, c'est la vie.

Ya know, I like reading threads like this, and I hate it. Cool seeing you guys moving up the ladder, but it reminds me that I’ve still got a damn long way to go.

I just picked up the CB12...how did I justify it? I didn't. Well, I told myself it was a belated b-day present to myself but really, I just to too impatient to save up the 7500 A-coins. Has it made a difference yet? Hmm....with TL6, I still have trouble killing tanks, but at least this build is better than MR8 in that I can still fight even when I'm moving around and waiting for my EMP to recharge. I'm going to try the PC6 in place of the TL6. In looking at mech's numbers in this Thermal Lance thread, there was one thing that isn't shown in the bare numbers: the fact that the TL6 takes much longer to unload than the CB12, so you're not getting the full TL6 damage of 7+k. You are getting the buff to the CB12 and any other team mates hitting your target hit harder too, but that just helps them killsteal. My next goal now is to rank up my Panther and clone it, so any A-coins I'd saved up til now will be going to that. Plus, I'll be leveling my CB12 too so that hopefully within a couple of months, I can run dual CB12 Panther alongside my dual SB12 Panther and my Thanos Guardian.

Is it cheaper to buy the CB 12 when offered, or buy the A-coins and go that route? Im not there yet, so i have no idea economic cost of the 12.

When the CB12 is on "sale" it was $65 CAD. $70 will buy 6500 A-coins and that's not enough to pick up the CB12. So, yeah, it's cheaper to wait for the deal. BTW, this is the most I've spent in a single shot since I bought the Shocktrains in War Robots. Let's hope these last longer for me than the Shocktrains did!

So far I’m impressed with the stability and balance within MA compared to War Robots. Since I started playing MA has added one well balanced bot and buffed the shotties. Any nerfs? I can’t think of any. The shocktrain nerf came just as I got them leveled up. So glad I jumped off that hamster wheel of a game....

Tell me about it...😅 Take solace in knowing we can use builds and skills that allow us to negate the high meta build’s advantages in MA. I’m still running a Jav6 Shadow as my top mech and can consistently place top three in CPC and tourney matches. We’d rarely be able to do something like that in War Robots.

The JRs don't fly as intelligently as they used to, so I consider it a fix rather than a nerf. I use JRs a lot, and my JR6 Shadow is my fave mech in this game. But, I used to be able to score more hits more consistently around tight corners. Now, I can barely hit anything that is hugging the wall or cover, and can only hit around corners if the target is well away from the wall - meaning no more crazy 90 degree turns at last minute like War Robots's Hydras. Even though I used to enjoy the craziness of the JR flight paths, I'm glad to see this as it makes running my Shadow more challenging and makes running my other mechs a bit easier.

Ya know I was looking really close at that one before I whacked myself back to sensibility. First, I don’t have a mech that can immediately make use of it. Second, that’s just more money than I want to drop in one shot, though I’ll probably end up spending a few times that before all is said and done. The only argument for it is being able to start working on a second copy sooner rather than later for when I do have another mech at EN24. But I know I’ll end up changing my mind about 8000 times between now and then, so it’s just not worth trying to plan that far ahead. Though I’ve got a SB16 and CB8 on the Panther right now, and dual CB12’s on it does sound very tempting ...

I have aimed straight at a second Panther, until I got a CB12. Now I'm thinking about a second CB12, after leveling the one I have. I like the CB12 and TL6 on Panther, so no rush.

I used to be able to frequently destroy a mech with one salvo from a pair of Jav6s. Now, not so much. They’re probably more in line with what they should be.

I do believe thwre is a slight nerf on the Jav6's when it comes to accuracy. I jave noticed near by bots taking some of the around the corner shots

I haven't gotten a cb12 print in forever, and I'm probably ~3-350 out on prints for the panther to be cloned..
I should probably get to opening the 400+ crates I have.. so hoping they would have added open X at once.. I'll probably hit the panther first so it'll be a decision with lack of acoin events and etc. credits I'm just sitting and waiting @ 1.7m now.
