Got behind enemy lines during a tournament match last night in my shotgun Shadow. Wasn't expecting to last long, given that a Brickhouse materialized a few meters away...and then I saw his loadout. Dude was toting MR6's. I quickly learned it's hard to shoot and laugh hysterically at the same time. Was that his evil plan? Trying to lose? Testing the loadout? Spent all his money on a Brickhouse and couldn't afford better weapons? I dunno, but it was certainly entertaining taking chunks out of a walking refrigerator until he dropped. 🤣

It's possible he didn't have other 8EN weapons or thought the Overcharge ability would give him extra power. Tell me you toasted him!

Cool. Do you have any vids or can share your experience with high leveled SG4s? Mine are still at R4 and while fun, I decided to not run them cause their effective range is so short, ammo capacity is so small, and damage beyond PB range was inconsistent. Plus, the only mech I had any success with running them was the Shadow, which has JR6 permanently welded on.
I might consider going back to SG4 if they become more consistent above R4.

Mine are R5 and I use one of them with an MR 8 on my En 12 builds. Works well on both the MD and the Shadow. I have it dismantled at the moment due to other MR 8 builds, but I had plenty of kills with the SG while the MR was reloading. This was one of the more fun builds I tried, especially on the Shadow.
Also, I agree that Shadow is def the way to go for dual SGs. I did try it a few times after getting the SGs to R5 and it was good. Not amazing, but good enough that I made a mental note to keep it in rotation and to stick taking them to R6 in the middle of the priority list for upgrades.
Random side note: I don't stick to anything permanently now... all these great builds going around, I figure I will rotate out what I like or hear about every few days to keep things fresh. My numbers suffer sometimes, but IDC since it is always changing and presenting a challenge. That said, if I know I will be squadding or if I come across a Tourney map that has a particular Hangar build that is well suited for it, I will put in specific builds... but otherwise, I let the mood be the decider. (Except for RMs... I try to use those but always take them out for something fun right before hitting the Battle button, lol).

Thanks. There is something to be said about keeping builds fluid. For example, maps like today's TDM, High Ridge, is awful for JRs, so I don't tend to put my Shadow in play and I find myself doing the Zephyr's EMP/MR8 rinse and repeat over and over. I feel like I'm farming - which I am - and I'm at the point where I don't even feel like playing TDM today.

There’s really only a couple of TDM maps I play - yesterday’s, and one of the shipping container maps. The rest I suck at and can’t be bothered with for the unfavorable frustration/reward factor. Just not worth it.

I really like tank builds so Brickhouse is on my Do Want list. I might put sustained fire weapons on him, or short reload rockets. Tanks anchor a team imho. They need to get into the fur ball and kick red butt. Standoff weapons aren't a good fit. But maybe this is straight from Captain Obvious. ;-)

Overheat + BH ability is deadly

If you've ever encounted someone named WAR-BAMBAM (3400+), she runs two of those

I can barely manage a screenshot and you want video? 😂 Got the rank wrong. 5.4, not 6.4. SG4s on a Shadow are kinda feast or famine, but I've run kamikaze into bunched up groups on short tournament maps and waxed 3 bots in 1 clip. I never drop him first though. I prefer to wait and let folks get distracted.
