Hello everybody, it is I, your favorite Fenrir loving, Overly dramatic, and Fashionably late news anchor, FakeNews! And welcome back, to: The Weekly News!
In case you are new to this forum or have forgotten because of the inordinate amount of time I have been absent from this forum, the weekly news is where I make an article outlining the recent goings-on in forum and in game, and try to make it funni through the use of satirical humor and bad jokes. Who knows maybe I'll try somehting new, I'll be including a section inspired by the almighty Oliver whatsisface, trying to convince all of you to drop what your doing and build a behemoth or Fenrir.
Ladies and Gentlemen, or should I say Gentlemen and Gentlemen, I know of no ladies on this forum. Pixonic has done it again, this time with fireworks, yes you heard me right. fireworks.
So basically what I gathered from the post made by Joopiter, and the video made by Zoxx, is that these things shoot rockets, basically napalm rockets, that have an effect that works similar to the Hellburner's bomb button, so if you shoot an enemy enough times they go BANG, dealing large amounts of splash damage like a rocket. I personally think it would be more realistic for these to be an area of denile type weapon, I've been harping on about an Airstrike or artillery type bot for a while, basically a spider type mech that could call in an orbital strike to deny enemies a chance to cap beacons or progress forward. What would make sense for these napalm rockets is if they were like the Noricum or Zenit, except you had a little transparent arc showing where they would hit, a fixed range, probably around 800 meters, when not targeting an enemy bot. You shoot them, they do damage when impacting the ground and spread out napalm all over the place that damages enemies that step in it. Idk, I just think it would be cool.
Hirabab asks why not everybody is running a last stand. Well, I can answer that question easily enough: We that don't run any are all broke mfers, and we're all in the 500 club.
Bananasplit wants to know if the Trad falcon with the legendary pilot is worth it, I would say go for it. I've run a Trad falcon before, I think I had the legendary pilot as well, hard as hell to kill. That was back when I still had bluestacks and I emulated my Android account. The one with my beautiful Arthur, Fenrir, Behemoth, Leech, Strider, and Invader, with a choice of Mercury, Special edition Fenrir, or Falcon to replace any of those. Boy do I miss that account.
Last of all, Brimstone laments a nerf to nightingale, now unable to cap while in the air. I cry foul sir, as far as I know the dragon bots can still cap while in the air. And I think thats 「fluffernutter」ing cheating. Although there is some controversy over the solidity of this claim.
With that out of the way, I'll now delve into my hard pitch of the Fenrir. And possibly behemoth. I'll step aside now and let Salesman FakeNews say his peice.
Alright. So you like the Lancelot, or just tanky bots in general; but are disappointed in the fact that the lance or your favorite legacy bot can't really compete in the meta. Well, lucky for you, there is a bot for you. The bot in question is fairly speedy for a tank, has 50% damage resistance, an Aegis sheild, two medium and one heavy weapon hardpoints, and has the ability to wade into battle like some god of war thirsty for blood.
This bot is the Fenrir, yes you heard me correctly. The underrated and overlooked bot of the Norse Pantheon bots, the Fenrir is a tank like no other, capable of moving in upper 40's mid 50's in terms of speed when in mobility mode while being shielded by an aegis with enough HP to survive a full on Glacier salvo and having a beefy 50% damage resistance when out of speed mode, as well as gaining its heavy weapon slot. This bot is a versatile and well equipped hunter, and can fill many roles. Do you prefer midrange brawling, and drawn out firepower? Well then, look no further than the Leadhose build, with an Avenger and two Punisher T's, the Fenrir becomes the greatest fear of any physically shielded bot. Do you prefer a more heavy hitting brawler? Equip a Redeemer and Taran's and become the literal god of close range combat, become a walking missile battery by equipping Orkans and an Exodus, or become a liquid nitrogen dispenser with the Cryo weapons, why would you not build this bot? Its hard to kill, fun to pilot, balanced, and competitive. Able to utilize most any build to great effect, this bot is a serious threat to be dealt with, and should be treated as such.
come back next week for a hard sell on the Behemoth! the walking weapons battery itself, the most heavily armed bot in game, and a veritable titan in terms of damage.
Thanks for reading folks! this has been your Fashionably late, overly dramatic, and Fenrir loving news anchor, FakeNews! FakeNews, out.
