Reg unclaimed items: Maybe we can provide a lucky draw for the forum members ? I don't know how likely that is. I've been told that we aren't doing giveaways, that our folks need to do something to earn it.Â
I won't try to speak for any of the other Mods, but I can't say I have any issues with that policy. Considering many, many members could have simply entered in a single screenshot and received something* and didn't bother do to even that. It's quite disappointing. I, for one, won't be advocating to provide a lucky draw.
* Shout out to Trash Bagel ** who did just that. I like the "Price is Right" $1 strategy. It wasn't what we had in mind, but it got you on the board. Nicely done, sir. ** While doing a recount I realized that I'd mistakenly posted the info above. That is not correct. TB had far more than 1 SS. Sorry for any confusion I may have caused.
If anything, this lucky draw should be out of the pool of people who participated. Not random forumites. Because they sends a bad precedent. "I don't have to participate in future events because I'll just be added to lottery" We can DISCUSS the contest and this kind of talk to everyone in general chat, gear people up for a future one.. I for one busted my 「bum-bum」 for just 25 screens. Like Poop said, they could have submitted one and won. Don't cheapen the effort others put in. The only other contest I took part in was that squad with a forum member, and I didn't win because I was late posting my pic. But I didn't care because I got to chit chat with some funny guys. And I was glad to see someone who squaded with me won! |

We can DISCUSS the contest and this kind of talk to everyone in general chat, gear people up for a future one. You all can do what you want, but I'm not supporting it. We (Mods) have a variety of other contest ideas. Since all that are currently in meaningful discussion require screenshots as proof of evidence, I for one don't want people to be able to preload their evidence log. As far as clues on future contests, we're seeking to be able to have different types of contests. We don't want things to get stale. We also realize that what's fun and interesting for one person may not be for someone else. As somebody mentioned before, some of these may may not seem all that viable due to concern for loss of league ranking points, for example. The hope is to make things fresh and interesting for the Forum so there's a benefit to being involved here besides learning all about 乃ㄥ卂乙 's cooking skills, wondering what stupid gif or meme I'm going to link to, getting links to BB 's or ʂɬɛɛƖ 's videos, or worrying about Rollo Tomasi 's love affair with Falcons. |

I was a mini contestant. I sold just about everything I had to level the 5 gallon bucket of weapons I use. So I maybe had 3-5 screenshots. Made me instantly regret selling all my stuff though haha. But I won an arthur a long time ago from some contest here which I still use today, so I thought what the heck, I'll throw in a few screenshots haha.

PoopfaceYou misunderstood sorry, about the discussion aspect I mean. The discussion would be about talking about these contests and getting more people engaged. Not the unclaimed prizes. We're on the same page about that. Edit... I see what you mean about prestacking proofs. But I was more along the lines of "hey Dingle berries, this thing happened and you missed it! Next time join. " I see soooooo many people complain about how they never get prizes on giveaways and then you see 「dookie」 like this(people not participating) I get it, it requires more effort than submitting your pilot ID...

You should have seen me at like 4am the day of the cutoff... Scrambling to cut and paste just my kill feed but it didn't work and then manually uploading from phone making sure I got the right screenshots... I easily had 10 or so more but because I was slow or kills happened too fast after me, my weapons didn't show up in feed... Talk about handing in your homework at the last second. I just screen recorded everything and screenshotted replays. Not so fun those few times when i realized i forgot to start recording and the facepalm was imminent. Started to replace regular kills with Titan slays after a while, when i had no weapons left. Real fun contest anyway, good job. Also, alot of my weapons are low level, which made things a bit more interesting hah. |

That's correct. We lined up 80 mechs and guns to mount to many of those. We'll end up giving away only 20 mechs. We'd love to benefit as many people as we can. The idea is to do activities that make the Forum have a nice time and, when possible, engender conversation beyond the same ol', same ol' while also getting some rewards where only Forumites benefit.
That said, I'm glad that there are some who enjoy them and will benefit accordingly.

Frantically playing and then trying to keep track of the kill feed and getting a screen shot just didn’t really seem feasible. One of a number of differences in our gameplay, I suppose.
My dying very quickly in a hail of flame, sound guns, and shredding pixels isn't especially frantic as I've embraced my chum-like nature.
